In today's video we are sharing the recipe of wild bamboo shoot known as 'Nigaloko Tusa' in Nepali Society. It is found from Jestha to Bhadra ( May to August) in Nepal. It is new shoot growing from wild bamboo (Nigalo) found in Himalayan and Hilly region of Nepal.
Preparation time: 20-30 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serving: 5-7 people
Ingredients
Wild bamboo shoot ( 2 medium bundles)
1 big size onion (sliced into pieces)
3 medium size tomatoes
Oil for cooking(2-3 spoon)
Few cumin and fenugreek seeds
2 green chillies ( chopped)
4 medium sized potatoes
1/2 tsp turmeric
Salt as per taste
1 tsp Cumin/coriander powder
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tspRed chilli powder ( if you prefer spicy food)
A pinch of garam masala
* Add water as per your choice
