MSP is payed from taxes. Where will the money come from? Why only farmers? Why not teachers, plumbers, electricians, cleaners?

@@1008apocalypse1008 there is minimum wage in western countries and same in govt jobs in india also, each every sector should get minimum wage atleast

@@ssingh7391 Most of these so called farmers don't want that. Most of them don't even work in their fields. They want a very high price for their produce while they pay peanuts to the labour who actually work on their farms. This is how Punjabi drug addicts became 'rich'.

solution is for farmers to set up co-operatives. and if govt is so benevolent, let farmers sell their produce directly to international market. see the govt sweating blood then.

Issues with farmer laws were that they were not debated and discussed enough across the board and implemented in haste and that's why government failed to convince farmers.

Farming is not backbone of our economy. Manufacturing, services and IT are backbone of our economy. They pay taxes. There are thousands of crops grown in India, fruits, vegetable, animal feed, jute cotton, etc. Fisheries, silk, animal husbandry are also part of agriculture. It's impossible to give MSP for everything. No country does that.

@@yourend3177 Farming contributes just 15% of GDP. Also, try growing and selling crops without electricity, water (canals, dams), diesel, roads, fertilizers, pesticides, high quality seeds, storage facilities etc. Agriculture is important but MSP which is currently given to 4-5% farmers is nothing but economic burden.

@@yourend3177 You seem to be confused. Are you saying automobiles, electronics, software, pharma etc is not real economics? Are you saying that we will mitigate effects of climate change by declaring MSP for every crop?

@@1008apocalypse1008 i am saying GDP is not calculated correctly. the industrial growth is NOT equal to GDP. rather market manipulation forms a big part of calculated GDP. and that my friend is the bubble i am talking about, about to burst soon. MSP? govt doesn't allow free markets, does it? allowing farmers to sell directly to customers--ie countries needing them. let laws be formed as such,see 80 crore of our population die off. with climate change, MSP may not be required after all. unaffected farmers will sell their produce at highest price and affected ones will need govt support. again burdening the tax payer. who benefits in either scenario-present or future? not tax payer, nor farmers. people who make laws and control the bulk of wealth earned from those same laws do benefit. who fights? we, city dwellers and farmers, fighting over scraps. fair? not by a long shot! so rather than fight farmers(who are also victims of the same corrupt system as us), fight the corrupt system, which is coming for our(city dwellers by taxes and inflation) money and food too!
