Somehow the army keeps getting ‘surprised’ every time and we are behind tactically in every aspect, yet we try to fix the blame on the government. They get a free pass. The government does as it is told with respect to strategic inputs locally. There should be more scrutiny on repeated mistakes and always being one step behind the curve. Criticise the govt on policies, but being unprepared every time, heads need to roll on senior levels of the army.

As a kashmiri i think it is impossible for indian army to operate in jammu because of hilly areas and army doesn't have modern equipment. While militant have infra red cameras sniper and our army have only ak47 which is 75years old
Kashmiris are fatigued by cheep tactics used to fight the war which where costing heavy loss only for kashmirs. And Kashmiris are never going to leave resistance can’t say same about other communities but kashmiris will keep this conflict alive forever till we are not separated from india. bro,Drone is not that much effective in Jammu region because of geographical condition.90% of our countryman doesn't knows difference between Jammu and kashmir.
Drones and satellite movements won't help much. It is an area full of Jungles and huge trees, which does not enable drones to be effective at all. Militants know this very well and are using this strategy very effectively.
But guided ammunition is very effective .. But alas our country dont have guided ammunition tech .. We should purchase it But corrupt govt is not investing in army tech .. we dont even have a 5 th gen stealth fighter jet

Good analysis. The point is the two countries, India and Pakistan should realise the facts and give rights to the Kashmiri people so that both of them as well as kashmiris live in peace and move forward in the region instead of living like enemies. Same is true for sicks as khalistan state. It will not make any difference to both the countries, if they solve the problems through negotiations and peace will prevail.

An army man is = govt employee Army general is = govt employee . Hon'ble president is head of armed forces. But The prime minister of India is the head of government of the Republic of India. Executive authority is vested in the prime minister and his chosen Council of Ministers, despite the president of India being the nominal head of the executive.
President is only rubber stamp authority in respect of Defense matters. Only Prime Minister and Army Chief with council of ministers are the decision makers.

There is saying the more you sweat in peace, the least you bleed in war. During lull period Pak terrorist have been working to stregthen their position, whereas IA hasnot been keeping their steps with changing time.
The fact is India simply doesn’t have enough means to over come two and a half front challenge. Even if defence budget is increased, it won’t be enough to overcome Chinese pressure. China has enough military power to increase the deployment manifold with ease, even if india increases military budget.
India is not helpless in Jammu. The infiltrators are being neutralized. There has been a set back, but things will be taken care of. Have faith, wait and watch.
