RECIPE:
Gajar Matar Ki Sabzi
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 15 minutes
Serves 02
Course Main
Ingredients
For Paste
1 medium onion, roughly cut, प्याज
1 tomato, roughly cut, टमाटर
1 inches ginger, peeled & chopped, अदरक
2 Green Chillies, हरी मिर्च
¼ cup water
For Sabzi
2 tbsp ghee, घी
1 tsp cumin Seeds, जीरा
Prepared paste
¼ tsp turmeric powder,हल्दी पाउडर
1 tsp coriander powder, धनिया पाउडर
½ tsp degi mirch powder,देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर
¼ tsp asafoetida,,हींग
Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार
3 winter carrots, peeled & cut into small cubes, गाजर
1 cup tender green peas, हरी मटर
1 wedge of lime, नींबू का रस
2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped, धनिया
1 tsp ghee, घी
Process
For paste
● In a pan, add onion, tomatoes, ginger, green chillies and water. Blend into a smooth paste.
For sabji
● In a kadai, add ghee and add cardamom, cumin. Let splutter.
● Now add the prepared paste and sauté for 4- 5 minutes until its raw aroma leaves.
● Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, degi mirch powder and sauté well for 2-3 minutes more on low flame.
● Add asafoetida, adjust salt and mix well.
● Add chopped winter carrots, green peas, mix well and let it cook on low flame until vegetables are cooked.
● Give a final touch with a spoonful of ghee for better taste.
● Garnish with coriander leaves, and sprinkle lime juice. Serve hot with roti.

Ranveer on MasterChef is different from here because there he is being directed by the director of the show but here he is completely himself. He is real and impromptu without any script.

Hi Ranveer, thank you for taking me back to my roots. In the race for making rich and fancy dishes , we are forgetting gajar mattar ki sabji, shakhaon ki sabhi , bringing fresh vegetables from the farm, eating gajar while peeling and loving the taste of freshness. Everything you do and say is nostalgic and brings back memories of my childhood. My kids grew up in the USA and never experienced such moments and that’s heart breaking. I watch your show whenever Im having a crazy day and need therapy to calm my nerves. You definitely know how to make people smile. Keep up the good work.

Same here. 2hrs ago I was so stressed studying QUANTUM PHYSICS.. I cried also for sometimes. Then opened RU-vid and watched one of his videos. Then again I studied for 2hrs peacefully. No doubt Ranveer is a great chef and has a knack of spinning the stories around cooking. In this video at one point Chef looks sleepy himself when he says that he is trying to test whether the viewers are watching sincerely or not. He seems to be making the videos in the night because he seems tired after working all day.

We have been eating gajar matar subzi since childhood BUT NEVER with onion tomato masala. Masala takes away the natural taste of gajar matar. So Ranveer bhai plz lets enjoy the winter veggies

I tried your recipe for carrot mutter sabji exactly the way to explained. It came out very well. My son loved it, who genrally don't like the normal dry subji in South indian mannar that I make with coconut. Thanks for this wonderful and at the same time simple recipe.

Ystrday only i cooked 😇😍 It's one of my favorite recipe But I dnt add onions tomatoes or ginger I added cumin & spices littlemango powder too fried fried little 😍 It was also totally different style delicious Next time I will cook like urs too 😊😊😋😋

Chef my favorite recipe nd specialty is gajar wale meethe chawal with lots of dryfruits... Hv you ever tried it... You ll the aroma of laung.. Tejpatta, illaychi, nd the crunchy dryfruits nd of course the beautiful colour of the dish in desi ghee... Phir nahi kahiyega ki humne bataya nahi... Bless you... Try it out..
