i always feel pressure behind my right side of neck sometimes left... and daily white sputum gets out from my i have to exert pressure to release that mucus or sputum.. what it should be ? I'm feeling it from last6 years, gone through Pns ct scan ,it was reported .. retention cyst in right maxillary sinus . can you please help me is it due to that ? I'm fed up from this daily mucus building.. and discomforted pressure like feeling behind my neck..
Sir thanks for the information I am in Europe currently. My sub hit my right side nose with his head mistakenly while playing. I had heaviness and tingling sensation in upper part of now and forehead and now pain is almost recovered 80% but I still have some sensation in forehead and nose when I bend down and check with another ENT and he you need to do "CT PND" but I afraid side affects of it. Could you help if this scan can leave some side affects on eyes and brain. Also is it only nose scan or also cover brain scan ? Thanks
Dear Doctor, My father is having a CSF leak case currently through nose, happens intermittently. MR CISTERNOGRAPHY didn't showed any leak. To rule out any CSF otorrhea case if the CSF is leaking through bony and dural defects along the temporal bone surface --> through eustachian tube ----> to nose, should we get a HRCT of innear ear(temporal bose) or a contrast CT will show better defected in the tegmen? I mean an HRCT or a contrast CT or temporal bone is good in showing such defects of CSF leak?
CT shows only bony defect and contrast will not show CSF Better. CT Cisternography may help in such cases. MRI better show CSF Usually a combination of both scans (CT/ MRI or with Cisternography) a clinician is able to reach some conclusion.
@@ChannelENT Thanks doctor, actually my father (age 63) is taking dual antiplatelet (aspirin+clopidogrel). And for CT CINSTERNOGRAPHY, radiology is asking to stop these antiplatelet for a week before lumbar puncture. But neurologist is saying it could be risky to pause these meds for a week, also the stroke can occur while during lumbar puncture. So we are concerned about CT CISTERNOGRAPHY and were just thinking if any non-invasive radioimaging like HRCT, etc could show the source of the leak?
