भारत स्वतंत्रता से पहले हिंदी बोलने वालो की संख्या उत्तर भारत में बहुत कम थी , 1947 से पहले के लोग हिंदी बोल भी नहीं पाते थे ,हिंदी के बजाए अपनी रीजनल भाषा का उपयोग होता था।

Hindi must be declared the national language instead of ENGLISH because it's our own language... I'm proud that I'm an Odia. But why we take foreign language as official..instead of our own??

Hindi is not our national language but many generations believe Hindi is a national language, but there is no national language for India, and you know The corrupt politicians and the education system made it themselves to force students to study Hindi in schools for many years, but Hindi teachers never said Hindi is not a national language, and studying Hindi for many years in college as a medium of instruction in English, then what use?
