I’m no doctor but I’m aware of the fact that second babies are usually a lot easier. At that point I was just not into the idea of experiencing a lot of pain in order to give birth if there was a way around it.
Ah birth questions. So fun to ask and answer, so completely pointless because it’s pretty impossible to predict what your situation is going to be-how you’re going to handle pain, how big your baby is or how gnarly his positioning is going to be or whatever random weird crap is going to happen.
Birth is a force of nature. It’s not like running a marathon (which is what I assumed before I gave birth for the first time) in that in some very important ways, you really can’t prepare for it. It’s not a sporting event. I mean, listen all you can about it-knowledge is power-but…at a certain point it just takes over.
