পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার ১৭ আগষ্ট শনিবার থেকে ২৪ আগস্ট পর্যন্ত এক সপ্তাহের জন্য আর জি করসহ পাশের বেলগাছিয়া ও শ্যামবাজার পাঁচমাথার মোড় এলাকায় জমায়েতের ওপর নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করেছে। বলা হয়েছে, ওই এলাকায় পাঁচজন বা তার বেশি মানুষের জমায়েত করা যাবে না।
