ইস্ট লন্ডনের আলতাব আলী পার্কে শুক্রবার দিনভর বিভিন্ন সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে প্রতিবাদ সমাবেশ হয়েছে। সমাবেশ থেকে কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনকারীদের উপর হামলা, হত্যা, নির্যাতনের তীব্র নিন্দা জানানো হয়। একই সঙ্গে কোটা ইস্যু নিয়ে দেশের এই পরিস্থিতির জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রীর রাজাকার বিষয়ক বক্তব্য দায়ী বলেও দাবী করেন কিছু শিক্ষার্থী। বাংলাদেশী ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্টুডেন্টদের পক্ষ থেকে পাঁচ দফা দাবী নিয়ে বিদেশী মিশনগুলোতে স্বারকলীপি প্রদানের ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়েছে সমাবেশ থেকে। এদিকে বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে মাইক্রো বিজনেস সেন্টারের হামলায় ব্যবসীয়দের বেশ কয়েকটি গাড়ি ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ব্যবসায়ীরা। একে ন্যাক্কারজনক ঘটনা বলেও উল্লেখ করেন তারা।
