Here's how you fix ODI. 1. 5 balls/ov. 250 delivers/innings. 2. After 1ov, only the batsmen will switch sides. 3. Every second over only the field will switch sides (not the batsmen). 4. Allow small water breaks only after every 2nd ov, definitely not within an over. 5. If a player needs any kind of medical attention they are to be walked/carried off the field, immediately replaced by the next batsman in line. This saves a LOT of time. When the other batsman is fit to come back, they can simply do so when the over ends. 6. The batsman and field change rule also brings down the field change and adjustment time significantly. 7. Go back to old school cricket and play the game till the last man, 11th wicket, but on the last wk still either batsman can bat. It won't make the game longer and still save a LOT of time cause it's only 250 delivers, with 5ball overs and the batsmen and field switching system it'll still make up for a LOT of time that'd otherwise be easily lost. 8. Get rid of Tests. We need to stop pretending like we enjoy it and face the fact that we keep seeing the same few countries playing and dominating cause the game never spreads worldwide and they mostly just play amongst themselves. 9. Stop pretending like ODI and T20 have ruined Cricket when Tests clearly did. Test WC final gets less than 1/16th of the ODI finals, even that viewership came cause India was in the finals. We don't watch it and we have to stop pretending like it matters. 10. Cricket needs to spread and it definitely can witn T10, T20 and the a shorter version of ODI. The idea I prosed can end the game within 5-6hrs, instead of 8-9hrs. This still keeps the spirit of ODI alive(the main format), while still adding aggression and fast paced entertainment.

2023 সালের এই মূহুর্তে সাকিব আল হাসান সনাত জয়সুরিয়ার সামনে, খুবই সামান্য ও তুচ্ছ। কারণ মাতারা হারিকেন হলো সর্বকালের অন‍্যতম সেরা ওডিআই ব‍্যাটার যিনি 13000+ রান এবং 323 উইকেটের মালিক। এছাড়াও মাতারা হারিকেনের নামের সাথে আছে 1996 বিশ্বকাপ ও 2002 সালের চ‍্যাম্পিয়ন ট্রফি। এই মূহুর্তে 18 উইকেটে পিছিয়ে থাকলেও, সাকিব উইকেটের হিসেবে জয়সুরিয়াকে ভবিষ্যতে ছাড়িয়ে যেতে পারবে কিন্তু ব‍্যাটার হিসেবে, হারিকেনের সাথে সাকিবকে তুলনা করাটা শাস্তিযোগ‍্য অপরাধ। সাকিব যদি ভবিষ্যতে 50 টা উইকেটে এগিয়েও যায়, তবুও জয়সুরিয়াই এগিয়ে থাকবে, অযথা আবেগ দেখিয়ে লাভ নাই। তবে অবশ্যই সাকিব সর্বকালের সেরাদের লিষ্টে থাকবে নিঃসন্দেহে। কিন্তু সেরাদের সেরা হতে হলে, নিজ দেশকে স্পেশাল কিছু দিতেই হবে, এটা বাধ‍্যতামূলক। সেটা হতে পারে বিশ্বকাপের সোনালী ট্রফি বা আইসিসি টেস্ট চ‍্যাম্পিয়নশিপ ট্রফি। আজকের দিন পযর্ন্ত সেরাদের সেরা হলেন জ‍্যাক ক‍্যালিস when it comes to all-rounder. যিনি 1998 সালে তার দেশকে ঢাকার মাঠে মিনি বিশ্বকাপ জিতিয়েছেন, যেখানে তিনিই ছিলেন ম‍্যান অফ দ‍্যা টুর্ণামেন্ট। এছাড়াও তিনি কৃকেটের সর্বোচ্চ লেভেলে দেশের হয়ে ICC Test Championship Mace 2013 & 2014 winner. জ‍্যাক ক‍্যালিস টেস্ট কৃকেটে কতরান করেছেন কিংবা ওডিআইতে কতরান করেছেন সেটা আমাদের সবারই জানা।
