আমার মনে হয় ঢাকার ২ কোটি মানুষ বসবাস করে। এভাবে নগরায়ন হয়না। একটা সীমা নিরধারণ করে দেওয়া উচিত কি পরিমাণ লোক থাকা উচিত এবং কি পরিমাণ অঅবকাঠামো বানানো যেতে পারে।
ঢাকা সিটি কর্পোরেশনের ভিতরে আর কোন হাউসিং প্রজেক্ট হচ্ছে না যেমন বনশ্রী আফতাব নগর মহানগর ও মিরপুর ইস্টার্ন হাউজিং বসুন্ধরার মত এত বড় জমি পাওয়া দুঃসাধ্য ব্যাপার এখন ❤❤❤
To maintain the traffic jam any normal city must have at least 25% roads of the total city area but Dhaka city has almost 8% that is for unplanned urbanization and corruption. So, today or tomorrow we must have to construct roads by hook or by crook whatever by means of destroying the illegal and unauthorized buildings or legal buildings after proper compensation. So, why not we think of it now when we are constructing the metro rails because it will give us two major benefits one we can ease the traffic jam and save our lives and time with breathing fresh air , oxygen , and natural scenarios and the second is along the metro railways we can get new service roads both sides of the railways if we construct overhead metro railways. So, why should not government strictly take the steps for it specially when it is possible in the case of "Motijheel" to "Kamlapur" ? moreover, we can see that in Dhaka city many lower class corrupted government officials , business men and political honeysuckers have been now owner of many big multi stored buildings. They earned either illegal ways or by lotting bank loans and have several big multi stored building by the name of a single person in the highly prestigious area of the Dhaka city. These type of buildings must be occupied and destroyed for making out roads by enacting a strict law or by declaring emergency presidential act that no individual or marital couple (Husband or wife) must not have more than one property specially in the Dhaka city otherwise additional properties will be acquired by the government without any compensation or notice for it. That can have a huge impact to bridle the propensity of corruption and land depletion.
Why we always think about Underground subway ? as it is not the pleasuring journey and it is almost 150 years old idea that is now obsolete for current generation. I would like to prefer flying over the ground with taking pure fresh air, oxygen, and sunlight. Additionally, I would like to see the natural beauty and enjoy charming world of the Dhaka city from the birds point of view that is definitely more healthier and pleasuring than the travelling under the ground or subway system; that is also boring and risky too because in the absence of light and electricity anything can be happened in the tunnel and if we get into stuck inside it accidentally then fatality of life risk and the death toll can be more horrible than the overhead metro railways because that way is more save and reliable than the underground. Moreover, the construction cost of over ground metro railway lines are very much cheaper than the construction of same metro line under the ground through subway or tunnels and it would be around 1/3 of the cost of subway tunnels; so, why the government cannot think of it prudently and who misguide the government for taking such unhealthy and costly project whereas we can build over the ground with more latest technology and with more beatification facilities and at the minimal cost compared to tunnel technology and what inspire us to build such kind of darky and musky project that will block the sunlight and fresh air from the environment and put us into a darky and murky tunnel ?
I agree with you. But I guess it is easier for them to build underground tunnel as we have land shortage in Dhaka. At least 4-5 stations will be over the ground.
