চুল ও ত্বকের চিকিৎসায় দিনদিন জনপ্রিয় হচ্ছে, প্লাজমা রিচ প্রোটিন বা পিআরপি থেরাপি। এ চিকিৎসায় রোগীর শরীর থেকে রক্ত নিয়ে যন্ত্রের মাধ্যমে কিছু উপাদান আলাদা করা হয়। তারপর এই প্লাজমা সমৃদ্ধ রক্তের অংশ সিরিঞ্জ দিয়ে ঢুকিয়ে দেওয়া হয়, পড়ে যাওয়া চুলের গোঁড়ায় বা ত্বকে । এ চিকিৎসা শেষ হয় কয়েকটি সেশনে। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশেও এই চিকিৎসা হচ্ছে। শেখ হাসিনা জাতীয় বার্ন ও প্ল্যাস্টিক সার্জারি ইনস্টিটিউট-এর সহকারী অধ্যাপক ডাঃ আশরাফুল হক মনে করেন, চুল পড়া ঠেকানো বা নতুন চুল গজাতে এই থেরাপি বেশ কার্যকর।
