My grandfather's home is exactly the opposite of old airport. He knew something was going to happen after 7th March. So he send all his family members including women and children to village. And He himself stayed in Dhaka that night. The entire video felt like it was so light hearted. If anybody knew what Pakistani Army did to residents of Dhaka that day, they could have never had made the video so light heartedly. Operation search light means literally what it says. Search every household, and kill. The genocide and killing started right after 12 O'clock after midnight. When everyone went to sleep, from mirpur cantonment and onwards. Every home was searched on their way. The people killed in the road block weren't the first to be killed. Every resident were searched rigorously, killed, women were raped and taken away. My grandfather never opened his mouth about the women of the residents of Dhaka who were raped and tortured that night in the area near bijoyshoroni. People of Dhaka just don't open their mouth for what atrocities were done to them in that night. Too much causalities, roads soaked with blood and human corpses everywhere. The old airport road was literally stained with red blood. My grandfather was saved miraculously by the grace of Allah. But please don't assume people especially women folks living in Dhaka that time were all victims. There was a reason why my father never opened his mouth, nor named any household that time. Please respect their privacy. People still have no idea what happened that day. I really dont want to elaborate on this much. Please don't take this lightly. It was what it Literally called a hidden genocide.
When you narrate a story you shouldnt hide anything. What u said is only one sided story. What about the rapings nd killings of bengalis that strated long before march 71. I will request you to cover one topic that is frequently contested by Pakistani youtubers including their retired army officers. And that is the count of Bengalis killed and raped. They say the number could not have been so large and they even quote a commission that was created by Mujib government later to find out tortured women. They say both the killed and raped figures would be in thousands and not even in lakh. And if you get some more time, then another point contested by Pakistanis is that there could not have been ninety three thousand Pakistanis who had surrendered. They frequently quote a number around thirty five thousand. May be a video covering this will be important too.

First of all, In Christchurch mosque shootings only one man killed 51 people and injured 40 people in just few seconds, by using just one gun. The Pak army were almost 93,000 in numbers. So, killing 3 million people in 9 months, is like a piece of cake for the Pak army because they had huge number of weapons, tanks grandees etc. But I will say one thing that, their is a huge problem because more than once research on 71's genocide is made by Britishers, Indians, Bangladeshis and Americans. Each time the result is different from one another. Even the the intellectuals of Bangladesh believe that no body knows the actual number of dead people in 71's genocide. But it is as clear as the water that a big mascaraed has been done by the Pak army. Secondly, It is difficult to find the actual number because, many historians believe that when Pak army buried those people who died in the 71's war in the deep jungle. In last 50 years Bangladesh government has discovered more than 1000 mass graves in the deep of the jungle which suppose to be the corpse of the victims of 71's genocide. Thirdly, according to the document of 71's genocide. The Pak army has burned some places which suppose to be Hindu dominated area. It might be possible in a certain area they wiped out each and every people of that place. so this people do not come to notice of anyone. Fourthly, To testify their statement they use the Vietnam war as their scapegoat. American soldiers weren't aware with that hill track area so for them doing anything in Vietnam was not an easy task. Well Vietnam is a hill track area, on the other hand Bangladesh is a plain land. Besides the Razakars, Al-Badar and Al-Shams military group helped them by proving information. So a mass killing is not a difficult task. Fifthly, That time each family use to give birth 5 children's. As a result, just in 50 years the population of Bangladesh became 7 core to 16 core, twice in number. Though their had been a massive number of people were killed, but it numbers were not changed because of this reason. Next, the numbers of rape woman. many Pakistani asks for the evidence of raping 2 million woman shamelessly. In America, Larry Nassar sexually harassed 160 female American athletes almost for 20 years. He even sexually harassed a family's three female members who are biologically sisters. Accepting something like sexual harassments is not easy for a woman is as clear as water. But they demand weakness and evidence shamelessly. The barbarism of Japanese Imperial army in Second World War is the proof that, army can do any inhuman act to fulfil their sexual needs. Raping such a big number of woman is not impossible for the Pak army. After the war the Bangladesh government had find out that their has been 25,000 to 70,000 number of pregnancies report, it is strongly believe that this are the pregnancy reports of raped woman. Later, Government formed an victim relief program with the support of the World Health Organization and International Planned Parenthood Federation, among whose goals it was to organize abortion facilities to help rape victims terminate unwanted pregnancies. A doctor at a rehabilitation center in Dhaka reported 170,000 abortions of pregnancies caused by the rapes, and the births of 30,000 war babies during the first three months of 1972. Dr. Geoffrey Davis, an Australian doctor and abortion specialist who worked for the program, estimated that there had been about 5,000 cases of self-induced abortions.[86] He also said that during his work he heard of numerous infanticides and suicides by victims. His estimate of the total number of rape victims was 400,000, twice as high as the official estimate of 200,000 cited by the Bangladeshi government.[87] Most of the victims also contracted sexual infections.[88] Many suffered from feelings of intense shame and humiliation, and a number were ostracized by their families and communities or committed suicide. Cynthia Enloe has written that some pregnancies were intended by the soldiers and perhaps their officers as well. A report from the International Commission of Jurists said, "Whatever the precise numbers, the teams of American and British surgeons carrying out abortions and the widespread government efforts to persuade people to accept these girls into the community, testify to the scale on which raping occurred". The commission also said that Pakistani officers not only allowed their men to rape, but enslaved women themselves. Last but not the least, a written agreement name "The Pakistani Instrument of Surrender" that enabled the surrender of 93,000 POW (Prisoners of the War) of the Pakistan Armed Forces Eastern Command on 16 December 1971. But the Pak army said that the actual army were near 35000 soldiers. Actually, this 35,000 soldiers were regular military soldiers, rest were militia soldiers, half-regular army etc. This is enough to prove the Pak army's shameful action and false evidence. My research is not thoroughly done, so their can be some default. I hope Labib Rahat vai will provide us much better thoroughly research information.
