সালাহউদ্দিন কাদের চৌধুরীর উত্তর, তাহলে আমি শেখ সেলিম সাহেবকে চোর বললাম না। সাকা চৌধুরী বিএনপির রাজনীতি করলেও বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসন খালেদা জিয়া এবং তার ছেলে তারেক রহমানকে নিয়ে কটূক্তি করতে ছাড়েননি। এ জন্য নিজ দলে নিন্দিত ও সমালোচিত হন তিনি। বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসনকে নিয়ে সাকা চৌধুরী বলেছিলেন, তালাকপ্রাপ্ত বউয়ের ঘর করি না আমি।
