গত আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের আমলে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন অনেক বেড়েছে। তবে খাতটিতে ছিল না শৃংখলা ও সুষ্ঠু পরিকল্পনা। ফলে বেসরকারি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রের মালিকদের সরকারের কাছে পাওনা প্রায় ২২ হাজার কোটি টাকা। অন্যদিকে অর্থের অভাবে চাহিদা অনুযায়ি জ্বালানি আমদানি করতে পারছে না সরকারি অনেক কেন্দ্র। ফলে সারা দেশে চলছে ব্যাপক লোডশেডিং। ১৯ সেপ্টেম্বর টিবিএস’র রাউন্ড টেবিল আলোচনায় উঠে আসে এসব কথা। এ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত জানতে আমাদের আলোচনাটি পুরো দেখার আমন্ত্রণ।

ইন্ডিয়া থেকে ইম্পোর্ট করা একটা স্ক্যাম। আদানী তো ১০০% স্ক্যাম। গ্যাস ও তেল ভিত্তিক এত প্লান্ট না করে কয়লা ভিত্তিক বেশী করা উচিত ছিল এবং আমাদের কয়লা উত্তোলন ও আমদানী বুস্ট করা উচিত ছিল।

We need a new orientation of power generation and management in future: 1. Renewable energy (Solar, wind, hydro, solar, solar-hydrogen, biofuel), 2. Geothermal energy support for energy saving, 3. Heatpump technology for energy saving, 4. Nuclear energy and battery development, 5. Exploration and use of internal fossil energy (gas, coal), 6. Solar-Agro-Projects, and 7. Use of external energy soures in the last step

সকল আলোচনার চুড়ান্ত ফল হলো শেখ হাসিনা সরকারের পাওয়ার সেক্টরের অভূতপূর্ব উন্নয়ন দেশের শিল্প,বিনিয়োগ,জীবনমান সকল ক্ষেত্রে ব্যাপক প্রভাব ফেলেছে, যদিও অর্থপাচার ও বড় দুই একটি কোম্পানির কারনে মূল্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা যায়নি !

The government should prioritize investment in nuclear fusion technology-the same process that powers the sun and stars. China's tokamak is expected to commercialize this groundbreaking technology by 2027, and while replicating fusion on Earth is immensely challenging, several countries have already made significant progress. It is vital for Bangladesh to focus on achieving energy independence rather than relying on external aid. By investing in nuclear fusion, we can secure long-term energy stability and strengthen our national resilience. This is not just an investment in energy, but in the future security and prosperity of our nation. Just an example, a controlled fusion reaction releases around four million times more energy than burning coal, oil or gas, and four times more than fission, the kind of nuclear energy used today.

Decentralization is the solution. Government should subsidize solar system, battery and inverter technology. We are even 10 years behind from Pakistan. Just imagine 1 million house and business center run through solar system. Why a solar system is cheaper in USA ? Same project cost twice in Bangladesh. It doesn’t make sense.

Decentralization is the solution for power sector. Just imagine 1 million house produce own electricity couple with 50 thousand entrepreneurs produce 5 kw using solar system. If we can interrogate them to power grid what can happen ? Please stop trying to make few rich. We can uplift more people through mass adoption. Even in a time of war without decentralization no country can survive.
