I remember back in the ODI world cup, 2023, when the tournament started, Bangladesh was the 2nd best Fielding team, only after India in terms of catching percentages. Other teams were struggling in this department. However, as the tournament progressed and all the 9 matches were being played, we became one of the worst fielding side in the tournament in the catching department, Afghanistan was the worst, we were barely above them. Whereas India kept their standing as the best fielding side, although, they couldn't win the world cup. I just hope Bangladesh's good fielding performance continues throughout the entire top 8 and hopefully, even the whole tournament, and not just in the group stage. This time Bangladesh seems to be really taking fielding performance seriously. I hope this continues until the end.
