Chicago Speech of Swami Vivekananda ( শিকাগো / চিকাগো বক্তৃতা : স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ : জরুরী প্রশ্ন ), delivered at the first World Religious Parliament ( ধর্ম মহাসম্মেলন ) on 11th September, 1893 ( ১১ই সেপ্টেম্বর, ১৮৯৩) is the content of this Bengali video. Who does not know the unbelievable success of Chicago speech that instantly made the humble Indian monk Swami Vivekananda as one of the most popular and influential men in the world. Almost the whole world astonished at the mind-blowing sppech of Vivekananda, that revealed the Indian philosophy at its highest dignity.
আজ থেকে একশ আঠাশ বছর আগে ১৮৯৩ সালের 11 সেপ্টেম্বর, আমেরিকার শিকাগো শহরের আর্ট ইনস্টিটিউটে প্রথম বিশ্ব ধর্ম মহাসভা মঞ্চে বক্তব্য রেখেছিলেন স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ। আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে তার সেই অবিস্মরণীয় ভাষণ আজও অন্যতম প্রভাবশালী এক বক্তৃতা বলে বিবেচিত হয়ে আসছে। প্রশ্ন হল কেন? কি ছিল তাঁর সেই বক্তব্যে, যা আজও আমাদের এই পৃথিবীতে এতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ?
পাশাপাশি , পৃথিবীতে ঘটে চলা যুদ্ধ আর ধ্বংস দেখে এই প্রশ্ন মনে আসে যে, বিবেকানন্দের বক্তব্য এত বছরেও কোন কি প্রভাব ফেলেনি আমাদের এই পৃথিবীতে? সমাধানহীন এইসব প্রশ্ন নিয়েই এই ভিডিও।
After the historic event in the world religious parliament in 1893, more than 125 years passed. Our planet is still filled with war and destruction. Human civilization is still at stake. So many urgent important questions are arising now. Anyone can guess the questions. We have to find out the real solutions.
In this video, I have tried to explain why the Chicago Speech of Vivekananda becomes one of the most impressive speech in the world, pointing out its significance in short.
