Here is the Kolkata style tasty Begmati Chicken recipe in Bengali. It is a different traditional & delicious Bengali chicken curry recipe for Chicken lovers. So, watch our Chicken Begmati recipe and must try this at home.
Ingredients of Begmati Chicken:
1. ½ Cup refined oil.
2. Chicken with bone (1 kg).
3. Garam masala(Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon).
4. Onion paste (4 medium pcs).
5. Ginger garlic paste (4 tbsp).
6. Cumin powder (1 tbsp).
7. Coriander powder (2 tbsp).
8. Turmeric powder (¼ tbsp).
9. Black pepper powder (½ tbsp).
10. Salt (1 tbsp)
11. Cashew and dried melon seeds paste (15 Cashew nuts).
12. Green Chili, Cilantro, Spring Onion paste.
13. Ice and Ice water.
14. Lime juice (½ pcs)
Methods of how to make বেগমতি চিকেন:
1. First heat the pan and add ½ Cup refined oil.
2. After 1 minute add Garam masala and leave it until the flavourof garam masala comes from the oil.
3. Add onion paste and fry it in low frame for at least 5-6 minutes.
4. Add 4 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Fry for 3 min in medium flame.
5. Now add chicken and mixed it well in medium to high flame for 5 minutes.
6. Add 1 tbsp Cumin powder, 2 tbsp Coriander powder, ¼ tbsp turmeric powder, ½ tbsp Black pepper powder, 1 tbsp Salt(as per your taste) one by one and mixed it well in medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
7. After 4 minutes add cashew and melon seeds paste. Mixed it well for 3-4 minutes again.
8. Add water for gravy (as per your choice).
9. Cook in high flame until the gravy boiled and then cover it in low flame for 10 minutes.
10. After 10 minutes add Green chili, Cilantro and Spring Onion paste**. Mixed it well and stir it for 1 minute in high flame.
11. Add lime juice as per your taste. Mixed it well and put off the gas oven.
12. Serve hot Begmati Chicken with hot roti, kulcha, parathas etc.
** Method of how to prepare green chili, Cilantro and Spring Onion paste:
1. Take a pan, add some water and boil it.
2. Add some Green Chili, Cilantro, Spring Onion into the hot water as per your choice and stir it for 1 minutes.
3. Take some Ice and Ice water into a bowl and put the Green Chili, Cilantro, Spring Onion from hot water for cold.
4. Put the Green Chili, Cilantro, Spring Onion into a mixer grinder.
