Duration : 3 Nights 2 Days
Journey details:
Day 1: Boarded Darjeeling Mail from Sealdah Railway station at 22:05 Hrs.
Day 2 : Reached New Jalpaiguri Station at 09:30 Hrs.(Breakfast available on the train on request)
Booked a cab from NJP station to Pine Tree Spa Resort,Mall Road, Darjeeling.(Reservations had been done online)
Reached hotel at about 13:00 Hrs.Had lunch at the hotel.
Set out at about 15:00 Hrs to explore the neighborhood post lunch. Grabbed some finger food from a cafe at Mall Road.
Day 3: Booked a cab via hotel and went for local sight seeing. Set out at 09:00 Hrs after having breakfast at hotel.
Places visited include Tea Estate,Rangit Valley Ropeway, Himalayan Zoological Park and Mountaineering Institute.(A total of 3 and half hours were required)
We were dropped off at Mall Road at around 13:30 Hrs. Had lunch at the famous Kunga Restaurant.
After lunch,we explored Mall Road and did some souvenir shopping at Mahakal Market,Mall Road Market,Chowk Bazar etc.
Returned to hotel at around 17:00 Hours and had dinner there.
Day 4:
Set out at 07:30 Hrs ,and reached the renowned Glenary's cafe for breakfast. They open sharp at 08:00 Hrs.
After breakfast,we went around for some last minute shopping. Then we went back to the hotel to wrap up our tour and settle the accomodation bills.
We set out for Bagdogra airport at 10:30 Hrs.
We reached the airport at 14:00Hrs-our flight was at 16:00 Hrs.
Reached Kolkata,about 1:30 Hrs later.
