In this video, I will be showing you how to make a Prawn and Squid iddiyappam kothu and chicken iddiyappam kothu. This is a really good way over using left over iddiyappam, to make something really tasty. I have made 2 different types of iddiyappam kothu, one using white rice flour iddiyappam with prawns and squid and one using red rice flour iddiyappam with chicken. It tastes really delicious and it is very quick and easy to make. It is perfect for everyone. I hope you enjoy watching and making the iddiyappam kothu :)
Prawn and Squid iddiyappam kothu ingredients:
White rice flour (idiyappam) - 15
Prawns
Squid - around 200g
1 onion
Green chillies
2 eggs
Some curry leaves
Chopped ginger - 1 tablespoon
Chopped garlic - 1 tablespoon
Tomato ketchup
Red chilli flakes
Salt
Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon
Fennel seeds - ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
Curry powder - 1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Chopped potato - ½
½ a potato
½ a carrot
½ a leek
Some cabbage
½ a lemon grass
Oil
Compounded asafoetida powder
Chicken iddiyappam kothu ingredients:
Red rice flour string hoppers (idiyappam) - 15
Chicken - 200g
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cardamom pods
2 cloves
Soya sauce
1 onion
Green chillies
2 eggs
Some curry leaves
Chopped ginger - 1 tablespoon
Chopped garlic - 1 tablespoon
Tomato ketchup
Red chilli flakes
Salt
Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon
Fennel seeds - ½ teaspoon
Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
Curry powder - 1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Chopped potato - ½
½ a potato
½ a carrot
½ a leek
