Bro how u changing water for this tank? If u keep top filter box at d corner of the wooden box? Why i m asking the same tank m using with sponge filter... M using aged water so m pouring water through water pot Every week.. same time i use ro water... Any idea?
I use siphon pump and change only 30 to 50 percent water and i have a tap connection near I’ll fill the water from there itself bro, I use metro water only but I dechlorinate it and use only any type of water either use aged water or RO because there will be different parameters for each so some fishes may find difficult to survive if you mix water

Fishes i have are fast moving fishes, so till now I had no issues, and fishes are grown now, i got your point shrimps may get stuck so that's why I don't have any shrimps 😊

One method i suggest is if your house has inverter connection, you can take one line for aquarium switch also, or there is battery air pump like venus aqua or sobo it can supply air for 6 hr during power cut 😊

Bro actually the gravel i use is not ok for plants, plants doesn't grow because it doesn't have nutrition in it, and also fertilizer is not sufficient, so I'm planning to add plants like Java fern and anubias more, i will for sure put cleaning video bro and snails i will do this week bro sorry 🙏🏾😊
If you close the value the water comes out of the air tube which is connected, and one more thing air stone needs a separate motor so if it runs daily they may get repair easily and air stone holes will be clogged, if the value runs daily it keeps the water oxygenated incase of powercut atleast sometimes fish can survive with the oxygen present in the water.
