It's ok to discuss her children, proud parents celebrated their son's birthday and we wish him well and it ends there. No one has the right to question her childrens' emotions. Obviously the mother gets upset, I can relate to it. Many a times I've told ppl, u bring up yr child yr way and don't question mine and now my beautiful daughter is a mother herself now.

Bullying not only happens abroad but also in tamil nadu. From teachers. When i was in middle school, i struggled a lot with maths. I started hating it more because math teacher always ALWAYS looks at me with anger and makes fun of my marks. 5/100...yup! Then one day she asked me to bring my elder sister who also studied in the same school. She asked my sister,'Ean un thangachi ivlo mosama mark edukura? Avalku mind la edhavathu problem ah?'...my sister bursted in tears. Then i started becoming very weak in math , and my mark became 2/100. Then i struggled a lot to understand it. My friend helped and taught me. With the grace of God, i scored 99/100 in my 10th public exam, became school 2nd and got 2 gold medals. At that time, my family also slightly thought if im not able to pick up in studies. Parents nammalaye sometimes thappa purinjuka chance iruku indha madhri insensitive aana people irukradhala. From what you have said your children are very studious and achiever in academics. You are blessed.
