Sir I need a small clarifications, you have advised us to buy IDFC to get the advantage of 5% margin benifit, having holding tatamotors dvr 20 shares I am suppose to get 14 shares, where as I got only 9 shares of tatamotors and rest 5 shares has been adjusted against TDS and long-term capital gains. So what is the advantage in purchasing IDFC against IDFC bank ,the same tds and LTCG will apply for this also. Please clarify if I am wrong
To be honest I built a profitable portfolio based on his advise only which I have to admit, but we need to learn how this tax and ltcg affects us. All I am buying only for the purpose of wealth creation long term investment.
in Tata Motor DVR based on average I had 30k as profit on the whole. But after the merger I got only 26k as the amount as invested. I had 40 DVR shares but got only 27 credited instead of 28, as it said 1 is used for dividend TDS. I am not sure if the merger is good for us. instead, would have gotten more profits when considering the actual shares instead of arbitrage. Should we wait for the IDFC merger or to sell and buy some other shares worth the money? Someone please advise.

You start a shitty company. You create shares. Share value is zero because the company is loss making and your are shitty promoter. You hire investment bank. Create marketing and buzz. Go for IPO. Magically the investment banks assigns a value of ₹1000 per share. You then dump your shares on the public, take public money and walk away. This is offer for sale.

No big reason.. their product is good, no issue on the company nor on the promoter, less debt, no allegations.. it is due to price correction.. i have accumulated natco from 400rs now i am having 100% returns in natco.. now I can book some profit.. May be some investors are making profit.. so nothing to worry. Hope thia helps

Since there was a lot of loss due to taxes in tata motors dvr to tata motors conversion...will the same taxes be there for idfc to idfc first conversion...?! If that is the case, is it better to buy idfc first directly from now on..?! Or any arbitrage stocks if the arbitrage is very less?!
Arbitrage playing will be done by big people who deals with more than 20L. If you are dealing within 50000, just accumulate idfc first bank. Less tension.
Because we all missed this point with Tata Motors DVR. It would have been wiser not to have bought DVR. Instead, people could have bought TM directly. I feel people lost in dividend tax and STCG more than they gained in arbitrage. Please clarify this point, Sir
