Controlling the Tongue (James 3:1-12):
James begins by warning that not many should become teachers, as they will be judged more strictly.

Wisdom from Above (James 3:13-18):
James shifts to discuss wisdom, distinguishing between earthly wisdom, which is characterized by envy, selfish ambition, disorder, and evil practices, and heavenly wisdom.
Heavenly wisdom is described as pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.
He concludes by saying that peacemakers who sow in peace will reap a harvest of righteousness.
