With all respects to Narasimhanji. I would like to place on record that Brahmins who are into fitness and sports do eat non veg food. I am a Dietitian and I have patients from all castes. I always admired Brahmins for their way of living and intellect. But in the last two decades I have been forced to prescribe non veg food for Brahmins. They justify that it is only for health purpose. There are so many vegetarian s who have achieved so much with simple vegetarian food A true Brahmin is one who follows Ahimsa Doesn’t speak lies Eats Satvik food Knows Vedas and Upanishads Doesn’t cross the seas and still there are many more that a true Brahmin follows So in conclusion anybody who follows the above is a Brahmin and it is not by because of birth
