Wrong calculation for new regime.... 12 lpa doesn't mean 15 % for entire 12 lpa.... 3 to 6 - 5% and 6 to 9 - 10% and 9 to 12 15 %... So for 12 lpa tax will be 15k + 30k + 45k = 90000 only...

I think they deduct 3 lakhs as up to 3 lakhs no tax, then only 3 to 6 lakhs slab will come into picture in new regime

Nice. But there is old regime, regime introduced two years back and recent budget introduced regime. But deductions under 80 C, and many other deductions including interest deductions are available only in the old regime. Not in the regime introduced two years back.

For those who earn 8L , s.d is 50k . So for 7.5 L tax will be 15k(5./.) +15k(10./.)= 30k+s.c and not 22500 as she says under new regime
