To all moms out there. Do not give up on breastfeeding. First 2-3 weeks are tough . But it will all work out at the end. If you are in US, please do ask for lactation consult after delivery. Usually every hospital has one for free. They will really help you with proper latching and feeding techniques.Also, in case you don’t know, all health insurance companies must give breast pump for free as per affordable care act.

Superb video and i'm also in the same boat. Connected with each and every point u said. I have done same mistakes for my son especially feeding and sleeping. almost same like ur son, he is 5 yrs and recently had daughter, she is 2 months old. Same guilt i had for my son 😀

Try to make them sleep by themselves instead of rocking or using hands and shoulders. Rocking or using hands also becomes a habit and it takes effort to make them sleep by themselves after few years

I also exclusively pumped and fed my baby for the 1st 6 months. I know the effort and sleep disruption due to midnight pumping. For whatever reasons we did this with my baby. Next baby ki I don’t want to repeat this.

Hi jabili... I hope your health and baby health is good. My best wishes for painless delivery. Coming to today's video.. I am mother of 1year old baby girl. So, firstly I checked my self whether I am in the correct track of parenting or not... from your points expect book reading I did my 100 percent in remaining all points. But there is one mistake I did... my milk production is very good so I don't get a chance to use formula feed... so in that case we didn't introduce bottle milk till now she is not accepting milk r water from bottle... every time me n my husband will discuss for next baby we have to introduce bottle from starting months of the baby born. Till now the breastfeeding is continues along with normal homemade food. But if the food is little bit spice she is coming to me for breastfeed. It is very tough for me n my husband to change that habit.... Surely I will start book reading along with my baby.

Since very young, we registered our daughter for an Early readers children's partnership program with the county we live in and with Dolly Parton's Imagination library. With both these programs, we got some really classic children's books that we used to read together before she slept. That early introduction to reading is really helping with her reading skills at school now. If you have the opportunity please register your daughter with such programs. Those will really help. The Dolly Parton's imagination library sends you books by post every month till the child turns 5 for you to enjoy that special bond and reading time with your baby
