A delicious South Indian dish! Ravva Dosa, also known as Rava Dosa or Semolina Dosa, is a popular breakfast recipe made with semolina, rice flour, and spices. Here's a simple recipe to make Ravva Dosa:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup semolina (rava)
- 3/4 cup rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 sp black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup curd (yogurt)
- Water (as needed)
- Ghee or oil (for greasing)
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine semolina, rice flour, cumin powder pepperpowder turmeric powder, salt, and sugar(optional).
2. Add curd and mix well.
3. Gradually add water to form a smooth, thick batter.
4. Let the batter rest for 15-30 minutes.
5. Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tava over medium heat.
6. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a circular dosa.
7. Drizzle ghee or oil around the edges.
8. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the dosa starts to curl and the edges turn golden brown.
9. Flip and cook the other side for another minute.
10. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or chilli powder or sambar!
Tips:
- Use a high-quality semolina for the best results.
- Adjust the amount of water to achieve the right consistency.
- You can add onions, chilies, or other spices to the batter for extra flavor.
