On most subjects I agree with RGV'S views, But on Kashimir files movie, he needs to understand this movie is based on real characters and incidents that took place in Kashmir, that's the reason people are more inclined in believing and agreeing with the movie, 1)The Bitta karate character is based on real Bitta karate & YasinMalik 2)Sharda's character is based on most Kasmiri Hindu women and Girija tikko who was cut in half in real life.. 3)Professor Radhika character is based on Professor Nivedita menon, Arundhathi Roy & some of left leaning intellutual mindset on the Kashmir issue in India. 4)Real incident of shooting 24ppl which was show at the end of the movie.. Etc..., And more.

The point is that the movie has to be treated as narrations of the victims, in which case each viewer has to draw his own conclusions from what he understood from it. This also has a protection to the Director and producers of the film in case of unwarranted litigation from the obvious groups. However, RGV's analysis is great and that's where the engineering background helps. Let's hope that good sense and harmony prevails over all the parties in Kashmir. Kashmir is all along a part of Bharath, since ages, whether majority of residents are Hindus or Muslims.

Interesting stuff. This interview could have gone on for a few more hours without exhausting the subject. Here are some aspects that did not get touched: 1. Why did RGV see TKF? What prompted him? He's stated dozens of times in interviews he does not watch Indian films. 2. Leaving aside some "promotional" tweets for films of his friends and associates such as Puri, there are a select few films he has praised on twitter in recent times: Bhoothakaalam and Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana. Maybe there are others I am forgetting. How does he compare those to TKF? 3. Baahubali 2 grossed 1800 crores worldwide, not 400 as RGV claims. So the ROI is on the higher side of normal, especially for big-budget films. And Baahubali's effects transcend the purely monetary, as RGV would surely agree. 4. Hitler definitely wanted to eliminate the Jews, which is why the camps were called extermination camps or death camps. So RGV's statement that the cruelty and starvation meted out to Jews in the camps was just a pragmatic consequence of wartime rationing sounds dubious. 5. RGV was a bit ambiguous on whether TKF is one-sided or noncommittal. He says both these things at different times. 6. RGV also wavers on whether he liked TKF or not. He starts off saying it was slow and boring, but goes on to enumerate many positive elements, Bitta's presence, Anupam Kher's performance, etc. Maybe it will take more time for his assessment to solidify. Update: I had more to say on this topic, so I will ramble some more here. The main thing that interests me and hopefully any RGV fans or observers is whether TKF will alter RGV's "direction" in multiple senses of that word. For a long time now, he's come across a little too flippant, unserious about what he's doing with this powerful tool called cinema. He likes to play with the camera and he likes hot young women, and he's really let these appetites run riot for most of the last 10 years or so. This run did produce some decent films (I quite liked Vangaveeti) and some interesting flashes here and there (the casting of the actor who played NTR in Laxmi's NTR, the camerawork in the first Ice Cream), but also a stunning amount of disposable junk. Maybe it's just his age and a consequent decline in energy, maybe his creativity is being siphoned into interviews with Swapna and Murthy, maybe he's insulated himself a bit too much from the best contemporary Indian films to feel challenged to raise his game. And while I am not holding my breath, I am interested to see if TKF will be that creative jolt to snap him out of the self-satisfied rut he's been in for so long.

And I want to know deeper that how can one feel an emotion without taking a side ???
