To make restaurant-style puri with onion curry, follow these steps:
For the Puri:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Wheat Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 sp of Sugar powder
- 1/4 cup ghee or oil
- Lukewarm,or water for kneading
Instructions:
1. Mix flour, salt, and Sugar powder.
2. Add ghee or oil and mix until crumbly.
3. Gradually add lukewarm water and knead a soft dough.
4. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
5. Divide into small balls and roll into thin circles.
6. Deep fry in hot oil until puffed and golden.
For the Onion Curry:
Ingredients:
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds.
2. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
3. Add turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
4. Cook until the onions are caramelized and the mixture thickens.
5. Garnish with cilantro and serve with puris.
