ಈ ದಿನದಂದು ಭಕ್ತರು ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಜೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರನ ದರ್ಶನ / ಮಂಗಳಕರ ದರ್ಶನದ ನಂತರ ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮೊದಲು ಗಣೇಶನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂಜೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗಾರಕ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಕಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಲಿನ ಉರಿಗಳಂತಿರು ಕೆಂಪು ಎಂದರ್ಥ ಭಕ್ತರು ಈ ಮಂಗಳಕರ ದಿನದಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವರ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಈಡೇರುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಅಂಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಿ ಎಂದರೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಮೋಚನೆ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಗಣೇಶನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವವನು ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯ ಸರ್ವೋಚ್ಚ ಅಧಿಪತಿ.
ಈ ದಿನ - ಓಂ ಗಂ ಗಣಪತಯೇ ನಮಃ or ಓಂ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶಾಯೇ ನಮಃ ಗಣಪತಿ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪಠಿಸಬೇಕು
On this day, devotees observe a strict fast from morning to evening. They break their fast after moon darshan / auspicious darshan at night, before praying and worshiping Ganesha. Angarak in Sanskrit means red like coal embers. Devotees believe that if they pray on this auspicious day, their wishes will be fulfilled. Angarika Sankashti means deliverance in times of trouble, so observing this fast is believed to reduce a person's problems, as Ganesha is the remover of all obstacles and the supreme lord of wisdom.
On this day - Om Ganapatiye Namah or Om Shree Ganeshaye Namah Ganpati mantra should be chanted.
