I don't agree completely here. Even though I am personally a fan of Dr.Raj, acting prowess of other state actors cannot be judged by us. Overacting is just a perspective. I have even heard one of my own friends telling me that Kannada actors overact a lot including Dr.Raj. This just shows that it's just a perspective. That does not bring down the glory of any actor. They know their nativity better than us. If their ppl has accepted them, then we shouldn't have any problem. I have seen many movies of Sivaji sir and I completely agree that he is versatile. It is not so easy that an actor like Marlon Brando accepts that Sivaji is better than him. Nevertheless, I don't appreciate Sivaji as much as I do Dr.Raj, because I don't belong to that nativity, and I often don't watch their movies frequently. Dilip Kumar, Dr.Raj, NTR, Sivaji are all equally versatile in their own nativities. Additionally, we should be proud that all these are Indian actors and celebrate their greatness. Having said the above, I was little surprised that Ambika did not even mention the name of Dr.Raj when she was talking about his contemporaries. It's completely fine that her favorite actor is Sivaji, but when asked for top 5 she should have mentioned even the name of Dr.Raj in the legacy of 1950's era of actors.

She was given opportunity to act as heroine to Dr Raj in only one film. May be because of that she was unhappy about Dr Raj. Adake Ambika urisbekunta Dr Raj bagge maatadtilla. Dr Rajravara Kasturi nivasa mattu shankar guru remakegalanna Shivaji ganeshan maadidru andru kooda ambika shivaji ganeshan bagge maatra maatadtidaare. Avaru Dr Raj bagge urkondidaare annodikke idu saakshi.

Yes it is true,that dr.shivaaji ganesan was a versatile,& un comparable actor. His both cinema & political enemies branded him and his performance as over acting by jealous. he was a drama artist,at that time there was no digital & other facilities,so the actors must perform with little louder with extraordinary body language to reach the last audiance of the theatre.so that time their performance was to hard,now this digital generation crying as overacting.there is no doubt that shivaaji is a legendry and icon of the Indian cinema.no body can touch his feet.it is unlucky,that the Indian govt.did,nt honoured him suitably. He is beyond all the honours.
