A fascinating road trip to Sir Malai Mahadeshwara Hills. It was late evening when we left Kollegala and got dark when we reached the Temple, so the video of temple is not covered in this video.
Distance between Kollegala to MM Hills is 73 Kms and the aprox. travel time is 2 Hrs.
To go to MM Hills, we need to reach Kollega first and then to MM Hills. This is the only route that 99.99% of people use. There may be other routes from other places which I will explore in the upcomming days.
The journy we coverd towards the hill had lush greenery along side the road. But a group of 15 to 20 annoying bikers disturbed the mood of driving for few kilometers with reckless honking and shouting.
Road to Kollegala from Chamarajanagar or Malavalli or T. Narasipur are very good. But the 73 Kms road from Kollagala to MM Hills is under construction and the condition of the road is not too good when we travelled and the hill section road is moderate (Not too worst) there are 27 curves due to which travel time for 73 Kms will be more than 2 Hrs.
