We were running a playschool and daycare in Bengaluru Kasavanahalli area, because of this COVID-19 We closed this year. But we are sending short videos to parents, guiding them what to teach and how to teach as online teaching does not suits to small kids. We were charging Rs.35,000/- fee per academic year, now we are charging Rs.7,000/- for Nursery and Rs.9,000/- for LKG/Jr.kg. we got good response from parents. We have couriered set of books to parents who went to their natives.

I have been watching your videos....it was fun loving... It's saddening part that people are suffering... And like you said only we middle class people suffer... The rich will never suffer neither will the poor as they always beg... We are glad that you are taken things positively. Kudos to you guys.

My suggestion is .. since u r in Udupi district relaxation has already been given and u r all in better position than others.. I think coaching classes students will come.. govt and district administration will allow soon.. good luck. Here in mangalore hoping corona leaves us fast!!!!

Hello Mr and Mrs Kamat, I usually don't comment to any videos but I really like the way your video. so, I thought of sharing my comments on your decision. It is difficult to survive with RU-vid but not impossible because of the following reasons 1. Your channel may block due to unavoidable circumstances 2. The shelf life of the channel is very less I mean you are teaching JEE/CET/NEET. The syllabus may change and again you need to restart based on new syllabus. So instead of that I suggest the following 1. Since you are having two source of income (RU-vid & coaching class) start diversifying the income source instead of augmenting the existing one. Because you will be in the same position. if, something happened to the income source. So instead of that you should have a 4 to 5 other source of income. 2. If you are really interested to make the RU-vid channel then choose the subject which have more shelf life example teaching English grammar, preparing the students for the science quiz, teaching the trainers etc., And further I suggest you increase as many videos has possible by assigning repetitive work to freelancers. kindly note this is my suggestion which may work or it may not work for you. Before taking any decision please read Book "Rich dad poor dad" by Robert kiyosaki.

Something is better than nothing it's true as you said. You can do online classes by charging only 30 to 40% of your regular fee. When you have established something and you are earning with that for so many years. Suddenly shifting to something else is not easy. If you start something in which you are more passionate that is good. But to earn with the new work will give very less revenue in initial stage, or it may give satisfied income. It depends. One request if someone plucks flowers please say they have "plucked " flowers, do not say that they "stolen " flowers. It does not sounds good. We had ಕಣಗಲ ಗಿಡ in front of our home. Very nice flower bunch use to bloom, many were coming and plucking. My mother use to say "ಹುಶಾರಾಗಿ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಗಿಡ ಬಗ್ಗಿಸಬೇಡಿ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ನಾಲ್ಕು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಿಗಲಿ, ನಮಗೂ ಇರಲಿ".

Install Cctv in ur premise. The fear of getting recorded wl stop them. U get a fake one but still look like a original cam frm amazon. Try that. Yes its hard times for all of us & you were right that most of the schemes are no good for ppl of Middle Class though majority of us are Honest tax payers nor burden the society. Its sad but yes no point to brood over time n time, we have to face these situation. As an audience, We would like to see more videos but I was wondering Mr. Kamath you are in Education field, you can convert your physical tutorial to Online tutorial (lot of education institutes have done it). You can do interactive or recorded videos as well it becomes a library & make it a paid subscription (may be creating your own website) since you are Social media influencer you can market it well & get the traffic to your Education website/videos. Im sure you can earn more than what you earn from your physical tutorials (if marketed well & also reach is more, if made in English it also can reach larger audience - PAN India). It was an Honest suggestion, im sure you would have thought about it. All the best for all your Decisions !! :)

You also have other options such as online training classes and online courses (in English) in udemy. You can earn decent amount of money from udemy if your course content is good. The charge per course will be around 400rs which I think most of the students will be able to afford and also you will get international students 😀

I beg of you to rethink your strategies in a way that keeps you miles ahead . Instead of collabs, you could study how technology enabled virtual classrooms work, how to tweak that to suit what your ambitions are and then approach institutions like Narayanmurthy's Catamaran to fund your projects.

I think you should do both not just stick to one.if you are good at teaching and influencing people then you should focus on that and obviously things are getting better and online classes are kind of way whole world is moving towards. Your vlog is kind of good and different when compared to other vlogs on RU-vid but then I don't think moving it to main stream profession is a good choice

Instead of doing it on RU-vid, why don't you try doing live classes through any platform or record it and upload it on any portal and give its access to only those who pay you fees?? You can provide doubt clearing sessions to the students who avail the subscription paying some fees.
