Sringeri is a temple town situated in the chickmangaluru district of Karnataka. It is a world famous tourist destination that houses the Sri Sringeri sharadamba peetham. One of the four primary temple of Advaitha Vedanta philosophy.
Sringeri famous Maruthi tiffin centre serves in banana leaf and you get only three items - Idli, vada and poori sagu each will cost 10₹ only. Tea/ coffee/ milk 15₹ each.
Timing: 6am-12pm and 4pm-9pm

Traditional followers are everywhere in Udupi region, not only in temple, as it was seen from this video tiffin serving in Maruti tiffin centre is best method. Hiegenic food was served is most important. 👌

This is the same culture used to be in Bengaluru since i was a kid 40 years ago. It pains to see people standing on road sides, with plates in their hands and gulping food...that's not Bengaluru culture, that's not Karnataka tradition. Hope people sit down and eat food with patience..

The Sharadamba Temple at Sringeri (Shringa giri in Sanskrit) is an 8th-century temple, founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. It housed a sandalwood statue of Shardamba in a standing posture, which was installed by Adi Shankarachaya until the Vijayanagara rulers and Sri Vidyaranya (12th Jagadguru) installed a seated gold statue of Sri Shardamba in the 14th century.

Cost was reasonable when their dad was alive. After the sons running the cost has gone up. Will get more customers if the price is reduced a bit and still maintaining the same taste. When the cost was low most people ate at Maruti Tiffin avoiding free temple food n evening. Now those who think the cost is high prefer the free temple food. Food for thought for the family.

There was one krishnappaiah hotel in Thirthahalli close by to Rameswaram Temple. I came with my father in 1970. He used to give one Mane ( wooden plank) sit on the floor and have banana leaf meals full which was 2 00 rupees. Now don't know. I am now 65 years. I remember this Sringeri hotel similar to Krishnappaiah hotel of Thirthahalli

That temple is on hill that is proximal to Srinagar. A Sharadamba temple ruins was there in POK. Nowadays by Swamiji's, devotees, Kashmiris and diplomatic efforts renovations are done.

Hi, this is my first video and liked it. Almost forty years back I had breakfast just the same type at Sringeri, don't know if same place is modified.
