Tax കൊടുത്താലും നല്ല ജീവിത നിലവാരം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ. Govt is concerned about their pepole. ഇവിടെ 250-300% tax കൊടുത്താണ് beverage il നിന്ന് മദ്യം മേടികുന്നത്. എന്നിട്ടും bevco നഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആണെന്നാണ് സർകാർ പറയുന്നത്. ആർക്കും മാറ്റാൻ പറ്റാത്ത ഇവിടുത്തെ സിസ്റ്റത്തെ പഴിച്ച് അങ്ങനെ ജീവിച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

IT jobs salary you said is too low, may be those are vendors or beginers, an experienced IT salary will be 160k base minimum and in companies like MS, Amazon, FB it will go up to 400k (including stock and bonus)

I totally agree with your view of living ones life while in the West than 'mundu murukki'.In Norway we have 34% tax and things are generally quite overprised in Scandinavia since every job has high payment to ensure low wage gap in this socialist society. But there are a lot of plus points like we pay nothing for health care, children can have free education untill post graduation in a world class setup - with PhD cources treated as highly paid jobs!, exposure to modern science and technology, clean environment - food , water, rational free scociety which doesnt come behind you poking nose in everything you do, worker's rights, world class wages, employee benefits, pensions, job security, NO Heirarchy/bossing in job space, work-life balance, paternity - maternity benefits. Another thing is, despite the higher taxes, even if the savig is 20-30% of the post-tax salary - accumulating that over a few months will make it several lakhs savings in INR. To make same saving in India with the same job - it will take several years. So what I think is sending back 5 - 10% the saving into planned investments - mutual funds in India and fixed deposit - is a decent strategy hoping indian economy will grow in next decades though much of Indian population will go into poverty. So when you have a change get a better life and enjoy the free world! :-). Also Schenhgen area being almost all EU - lot to explore for travel, food and culture enthusiasts.

IT salary varies by employer. Indian consulting companies usually pay less. But if you are direct employee with 10+ years of experience, 200k is not difficult. If you are with big players like Apple or Amazon, 300K+ is the usual compensation.

H1B issues are the same to anyone who move to the states on that visa - including Doctors & Nurses. Offcourse if you move to the US on Family based immigration categories, H1B issues are not applicable - including IT engineers. IT salaries vary based on the kind of employer - he might be talking about engineers contracting via Indian consulting firms - not those working for American companies. Big Tech salaries hands down beat many other professions.

hi Shinoth, I think the IT salaries you mentioned is not right. Looks like you were talking about computer hardware technicians... IT job is more about cloud (azure, aws, google), hot ones like DeVops and software engineering which will be around 130k to 200k. These salaries are more or less similar across the globe when it comes to emerging technologies like cloud. Pretty much they seem to be lucrative atleast at the moment and close to a GP or even more.

Now with close 20 yr experience i am paying more than that in federal tax alone . not sure how the IT engineer avg salary is 75k . What to do? State/Gov job holders get average 50000/- or 70000 p/m Same designation pvt sector giving 1/4 salary of a gov employee....
