Time to take jati out related reservations and boldly go the economic level and personal disability basis. There will be resistance from those who enjoy it now although they don’t deserve it. The economic disadvantage model will find the same clusters but the economic status of the individual has to be the real criteria! Unless this is done, the politics will divide the people with false promises and make them vote banks! It may be a hard basket issue but it can’t be different to demonetization!

They spread that if BJP gets majority, they would Stop reservation based on caste. As it is the impact, what would happen if economy is the base of reservation. Untouchability is prevailing in various places in India. It is not because of reservation. It is only a traditional mindset which trained people to think that somebody is not equal to me due to their birth in other communities. When intercaste marriages happen, severity of caste feeling dilutes. Actually a new section is needed among Hindus, which constitute people opposing casteism and reservation. But they must propagate the message of casteless society. Those people are to be considered forward caste, irrespective of their erstwhile caste affiliations. Those oppose reservation argue for meritocracy. While those appreciate reservation stick on the representation and argue that reservation is not a poverty alleviation system. It is high time to think that reservation system has to be recast based on socio economic survey. It is clear that at present NSS, sndp or Muslim league will agree with socio economic survey. All of them know that they have adequate representation in government services. There is 5lakh government employees. 2.5lakhs are from aided educational institutions., where there is bribe is the criterion. No anti caste reservationists bother about it. Among the remaining 50% only 1.25 lakhs are from lower caste and 1.25 from upper caste. Forward communities (population 35%) gets 1.25 lakhs jobs.,while 65% of lower caste gets 1.25%. .Now what is the relevance of these hues and cries.If caste reservation is stopped, minorities with financial stability will train their students and grab job opportunities just after sachchar commission report. Hindus will be the losers. Then also they will fight for forward and backward positions
