ഈഴവർ കുലത്തൊഴിൽ വൈദ്യം ആണ്. നമ്പൂതിരിമാരും ഈഴവരും മാത്രം ആണ് വൈദ്യം പഠിച്ചവർ. ഈഴവർ പണ്ടുകാലത്തു താത്പര്യം ഉള്ളവർക്ക് സംസ്കൃതം പഠിച്ചിരുന്നു. രാജാക്കന്മാരെ ചികിൽസിക്കാൻ തിയ്യ വൈദ്യന്മാർക്ക് കൊട്ടാരത്തിൽ അടക്കം എല്ലായിടത്തും പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിലെ സാധാരക്കാർ ചെയ്തിരുന്ന തൊഴിൽ മാത്രം ആണ് കള്ളുചെത്ത്. ശരിക്കും കുലത്തൊഴിൽ വൈദ്യം തന്നെ ആണ്.. ഇട്ടി അച്യുതൻ മുതൽ ധാരാളം പേർ ഉണ്ട്. ഒരുപാടുണ്ട് താത്ക്കാലം നിർത്തുന്നു.🙏🙏👍

ശരിയാണ് വൈദ്യർ പറയുന്നത്. ഞാൻ ഒരു വർക്കല താലൂക്ക് സ്വദേശി. വയസ് 62. എന്റെ ഈ ജന്മത്തിൽ ഒരു ചെത്തുകാരനെ മാത്രമേ എനിക്കറിയൂ. അദ്ദേഹം ഈഴവ തന്നെയാണ്. എന്നാൽ എന്റെ അച്ഛനും അളിയനും അമ്മയുടെ വല്യമ്മാവനും ഭാര്യയുടെ അമ്മാവനും പിന്നെ അടുത്ത ബന്ധത്തിൽ തന്നെ മാറ്റനേകം ആളുകളും വൈദ്യമാരായി ഉണ്ട്.എന്നാൽ മറ്റു സമുദായക്കാരായ വൈദ്യൻമാരെയൊന്നും (ഒരു മുസ്ലിമല്ലാതെ )എന്റെ വീടിനടുത്തു ഉള്ളതായി ഓർക്കുന്നുമില്ല.എന്നിട്ടെന്ത്‌ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ആണ് ഈ സമുദായത്തിന്റെ കുലത്തൊഴിൽ ചെത്താണെന്നു പറയുന്നത്.പഴയ കൊട്ടാരം വൈദ്യന്മാരായ ചാവർകോട് വൈദ്യൻമാരും ഈഴവർ തന്നെ.

പണ്ടു മുതൽ സംസ്കൃതം ഭഠിക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നവരും പഠിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ അറിവുണ്ടായിരുന്നു അതിന്റെ തുടർച്ച നിലച്ചു പോയി , എന്റെ അയൽക്കാരായ വൈദ്യകുടുബം നശിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു , അവർ നിലത്തെഴുത്ത് സംസ്കൃതം പഠിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു , അന്ന് നായൻന്മാർക്ക് പൂജയോ സംസ്കൃതമോ പഠിക്കുവാൻ ബ്രാ മ്മണാശ്രയം കൊണ്ട് അനുവദനീയമല്ലായിരുന്നു. ഈഴവൻ മദ്യപാനികളും വാറ്റു കാരുമായി നശിക്കാൻ ഒരു കാരണം പട്ടച്ചാരായം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ വൈദ്യൻന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

That is why Jesus selected 12 apostoles. Please refer Mathew 19:28. You first study the bible and criticise others. Ancient syrian christians of Kerala belong to 32 brahmin families and they do not marry lower castes. Please refer the report on the census of travancore dated 17 th february 1881 by Nagamaiya to the travancore Government. These 32 families are now members of the malankara orthodox and malankara jacobite churches. Only those missionary churches like Roman Catholic, Protestant and Pentecost will accept you in their church. We treated ezhavas as slave caste. There were vaidyans not only from ezhavas but also from nampoothiries, syrian christians and nair also.
@@neethinyam1242 Christians are converted from ezhavas, parayar, nadar,pulayas . Specialy socially backword people from ezhava caste ,( not from good ezhavas )are firstly converted. And, You also understand one thing, travancore manuval is not that much older as kerala hystory. And in that book they say that royal family is ruling this kingdom from the begining of earth.. So we can understand how much trustfull book is travancore manuval... And also one thing, most of the lands holded by christians now a day is buyed from ezhavas or some reputed avarna castes. ( how they buy this lands from other reputed avarna caste's.. The answer is missionaries.they give awarness among the poor converted avarnas and give money and also give instructios to buy land from other avarnas who suffer becouse of caste system and land tax. So dont think that christians are upper caste..
@@akhil8272 Thank you for your reply. During AD 1750 to AD 1865, there were no landowners in travancore. Marthandavarma, the raja and founder of travancore, had decided that no landlords should exist in his kingdom while submitting his entire kingdom to SreePadmanabhaswami in AD 1750. This act of Marthandavarma was known as thrippadidanam. In the year AD 1865 Ayiliam thirunal maharaja proclaimed " pandarapattavilambaram " and allowed land ownership to Nairs, Syrian Christians, Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Ezhavas. During this period from AD 1750 to AD 1865, SreePadmanabhaswami, the deity of Sreepadmanabhaswami temple, was the only Jenmmie in travancore. Even the Maharaja of travancore was a Kudiyan. Until AD 1825 ezhavas were not allowed to take land on lease from the Government. During this period from AD 1750 to AD 1865 " patta nikuthi " instead of land tax was collected by the Government from Kudiyans (subjects). Land tax was introduced only in AD 1865. These patta nikuthi collectors were mostly from poti brahmin families who were entrusted by the travancore Government. These patta nikuthi collectors locally claimed themselves as Jenmmies with the help of some supporting nairs. However some very rich nairs who didn't recognise them as Jenmmies claimed themselves as Madampies. At the same time very rich syrian christians who were loyal to the kingdom claimed themselves as either Karapramanies or as Karshakar. A very few ezhavas were very rich and they donated money to the Government and obtained titles and land on lease from the Government after the pattavilambaram in AD 1825. In 1865 due to pandarapattavilambaram all subjects got land ownership including ezhavas. Alumoottil channan was a very rich ezhava who become a member of Sreemoolam praja sabha. Eventhough he was a member he didn't have voting right in Sreemoolam praja sabha. Only Nairs and Syrian christians had voting right in Sreemoolam praja sabha. At that time only the Brahmins were fully exempted from land taxes. Hence they also didn't have voting right. Among the voters a majority of them were nairs, as they paid land tax in the name of their tharavads. Only a single person, the Karanavar, paid land tax for and on behalf of all the members in a nair tharavad. However Syrian christians paid land taxes individually. Each land owning members in the same syrian christian family separately paid land taxes. Only those who had paid more than 5 rupee as land tax got this privilege of voting right in Sreemoolam praja sabha. This is why a majority of the voters becomes nairs. At those time syrian christians had individual land ownership but nairs didn't have individual land ownership. Nairs had land ownership only in the name of their tharavads and they had only possession right. This is why some uneducated nairs boast themselves they were landed gentries. Not even a single member of the ezhava community had voting right in Sreemoolam praja sabha. After AD 1865, travancore Government had defined Jenman bhoomi and classified the properties of Nampoothiri illoms as jenmom bhoomi. There were four Edapraphus in travancore. They are Poonjar rajas, Vanjipuzha potties, Chirayinkeezh Koikkans and Edapally rajas. Their edavakas were not part of travancore before the annexation of their edavaka lands into travancore. They also lost their land ownership however they got special privilege to make their own rules for land lease in their erstwhile edavaka lands. Anchutheng a small area in Kollam was not part of travancore until AD1947 and belonged to the east india company. There are so many denominations and sects among christians in Kerala. These different groups are one to one different in culture, faith, psychology and socio-economic status. According to the original faith of christians all over the world, only the lost 12 tribes of Israel can embrace christianity. Refer mathew 15:24 and mathew 19:28. Jesus was sent only to the lost 12 tribes of Isreal. This was the reason Jesus had selected 12 apostoles. Ancient christians of Kerala belong to Orthodox/Jacobites churches. Historically these traditional christians enjoyed uppercaste status and known in the society as Nasranies. In front of every brahmin illoms in central travancore there would be a syrian christian house. Nair tharavads are somewhat away from brahmin illoms. According to the temple rituals in southern kerala, the temple workship oil is to be purified by syrian christians by touching the oil. Avarnas and dalits were converted only in the recent past with the protection of Portuguese and British. They were converted to some specific denominations such as catholic and csi ( non Kottayam dioceses). Orthodox churches don't have mission work and they give importance only to workship. Syrian christians do not think they were converted because it is the birth right of these 12 Israel tribes to accept miseha as their savior. However there is a coincidence. In the bible these 12 Israel tribes were known as Ebrans or Ebrayans. At the same time the brahmins in Kerala were known as Embrans. Some people confused as to whether Ebrans (എബ്രാൻ) and Embrans (എമ്പ്രാൻ) are same or not. The then dravidian rulers and landlords allowed their daughters to marry these Ebrans as they were fair complexioned and handsome people. Their children also got the right to accept either hinduism or christianity. The then christians were the lords of seventeen caste.
