In a phenomenon that occurs once every 12 years, Kallipara Hills in Kerala's Idukki district blossomed with the rare blue and purplish hue of the Neelakurinji flowers last year. To escape from the summer heat , we took a weekend break in Idukki in Gazelle Villa Resort at Udumbhanchola. This place happened to be very close to Kallipara Hills. We trekked this hills in the morning hours and could witness one of the most enchanting views of Kerala Tamilnadu Border.
