From my own experience I can tell you this much. It is not much about the quality of our educational institutions, it is more about other issues in India. Bureaucratic troubles, religious conflicts, political instability drama, etc. The list of things to hate in India is growing day by day. If it was only lack of education quality, all these students would have returned after studies!

I'm a faculty worked in Kerala but not able to continue in our state because low salary in colleges, aided and govt sector appointment fully corrupted. Another problem most colleges don't have better academic environment but over politics. Govt restricted fees so salary less. So no options but to leave Kerala......

I finished my graduation in mechanical engineering from CET (Trivandrum), and currently I am pursuing MS in IIT Madras. Compared to what the UG students learn in this campus, the KTU syllabus is utter waste I can say. The courses are outdated, practicals are for name sake...and placements are pathetic....Kerala does not have the eco system to provide a promising career after degree or even a promising strong degree for that matter. Things need to change a lot. One more thing is that now we all have seen how much better the living conditions abroad are (thanks to youtube). Even if you have an average job there, the quality of living is on an other level only. Can't blame anyone if they dream of a better quality of living.

@@niyasnajeem The procedures involved are too complicated too. First we must fight for the forms from the front counter. Then go to the back counter to pay fees. Then come back to front gate to get cover. Then to the post office to get stamps and finally to the office section to apply for it. Each and everyone out there behaves like they are the VC of the university too!!!

കേരള യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയില്‍ ഒരു ആവശ്യത്തിന് പോയി നോക്കു. അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഓരോന്നിന്റെയും സംസാരം കേട്ടാൽ ഭിത്തിയിൽ തേച്ച് വെക്കാൻ തോന്നും. Certificate attestation ന് വേണ്ടി ഒരു marklist എടുത്ത് തരാന്‍ 2 മാസം ആണ് എന്നെ വട്ടം കറക്കിയത്. എന്റെ മകനെ ഒരിക്കലും കേരളത്തിലെ University കളില്‍ പഠിപ്പിക്കില്ല എന്ന് ഞാൻ അന്ന് തീരുമാനിച്ചതാണ്.

മലയാളികൾ ചരിത്ര പരമായി തന്നെ കുടിയേറ്റം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവർ ആണ്. പണ്ട് ശ്രീ ലങ്ക, ബർമ, മലയാ പോലുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ആണ് പോയിരുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് ഗൾഫ് രാജ്യങ്ങൾ. ഇപ്പോൾ പശ്ചാത്യ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ. അത്രയേ ഉള്ളു വ്യത്യാസം. 10 വർഷം മുമ്പ് ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലേക്കും കോയമ്പത്തൂരിലേക്കും പഠിക്കാൻ പോയിരുന്ന കുട്ടികൾ ഇപ്പോൾ വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നു.

MBBS,ബിടെക്, bsc , BDS,bcom poly, iti ,nursing,IT തുടങ്ങി പല കോഴ്സുകളും പഠിച്ചു ഏകദേശം ഒരു ഒന്ന് ഒന്നര ലക്ഷം പേര് എല്ലാ വർഷവും പഠിച്ചു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന സംസ്ഥാനം ആണ് കേരളം. എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഒന്നര ലക്ഷം പുതിയ ജോലി ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ കേരളത്തിന് ഒരിക്കലും സാധിക്കില്ല. അമേരിക്കയിലെ കാലിഫോർണിയ സ്റ്റേറ്റ് നു പോലും എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഒന്നര ലക്ഷം പുതിയ ജോലികൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല. അത് ഇനി കേരളത്തിൽ ആരു ഭരിച്ചാലും നടക്കാൻ പോണില്ല. So Migration is necessary thing പണ്ട് ഒക്കെ ഗൾഫിൽ പോകുന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും അർഹിക്കുന്ന ജോലി കിട്ടുമായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോ അങ്ങനെ കിട്ടുന്നില്ല. പിന്നെ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ കുട്ടികൾ high aspiration ഉള്ളവർ ആണ്. അത് കൊണ്ടും കൂടെ ആണ് പുതിയ തലമുറ മറ്റു രാജ്യങ്ങൾ നോക്കുന്നത്.

Most of the students from north India comes to Chennai in Vellore,Srm,mangalore ,Bangalore .. but there is no big deemed university in kerala to attract students from other state.. it’s only nit, iim,iiit… there is no private players who can attract these students.. The next thing is job opportunities.. how many industries are there in kerala.. പറയുന്നത് കേട്ടാൽ തോന്നും കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മാത്രമേ കുട്ടികൾ പുറത്തു പോവുന്നുള്ളൂ എന്ന്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്ന് മൊത്തം കുട്ടികളുടെ ഒഴുക്കാണ് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു. ചില കോളേജിലൊക്കെ പോയാൽ പഞ്ചാബിലോ ഗുജറാത്തിലോ ആണെന്നാണ് തോന്നുക. യുപിയിൽ നിന്നു മാസാമിൽ നിന്നും ബംഗാളിൽ നിന്നുമൊക്കെ കൂട്ടം കൂട്ടമായിട്ടാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ കുട്ടികൾ എത്തുന്നത്. അഫോർഡ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുന്നവരും സാമ്പത്തികമായി പിന്നോക്കം നിൽക്കുന്നവർ ലോണെടുത്ത് മൊക്കെ എങ്ങിനെയെങ്കിലും അവിടെ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടാൽ മതി എന്ന നിലക്കാണ് . പത്തിരുപതു വർഷത്തിലേറെയായി ഇവിടെയാണ്. ഒരു ചെറിയ ശതമാനം ആർഎസ്എസ് ബന്ധമുള്ള വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ ഒഴികെ ഏതു സംസ്ഥാനത്തു നിന്നുള്ള കുട്ടികളോട് സംസാരിച്ചാലും വരാനുള്ളത് ആഭ്യന്തര യുദ്ധങ്ങളുടെ ഹിന്ദുരാഷ്ട്രമാണെന്നും ഇന്ത്യ തകർന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നെന്നും അവിടെ ഭാവിയില്ല എന്ന അഭിപ്രായവുമാണ് കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിയുക. കപ്പൽ മുങ്ങുന്നതിനു മുമ്പ് സ്വന്തം തടി രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതാണ്. അല്ലാതെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നിലവാരവും ഗുണവും നോക്കിയിട്ടു ഒന്നും അല്ല. ആർഎസ്എസിന് താല്പര്യമുണ്ടെങ്കിലും തമ്മിൽ തല്ലാനും തല്ലിക്കാനും കൊല്ലാനും ഇത്തിരി വെളിവും വെളിച്ചവുമുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്ക് വലിയ താല്പര്യമില്ല. ഓരോ വർഷവും ഇരട്ടിച്ചു വരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരത്വം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം കൂടി ഇതിനോട് ചേർത്ത് വായിച്ചാൽ ചിത്രം കൂടുതൽ വ്യക്തമാവും

കേരളത്തിലെ ഭൂരിഭാഗം യുവാക്കൾക്കും ഗവൺമെന്റ് ജോലി ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല. Private ജോലിക്കാർക്ക് ശമ്പളം തീരെ കുറവുമാണ്. പുറം രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ പോയാലേ കുടുംബം രക്ഷപ്പെടൂ എന്ന അവസ്ഥയാണിപ്പോൾ. ഇതിനെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ നിലവാര തകർച്ചയായി കാണേണ്ടതില്ല.

Shame for Kerala's higher education. This situation is the outcome of Nepotisms in faculty appointments ( money, political recommendation, partialities on faculty recruitment in university level). The interesting case is you will be ready to pay 50-70 Lakh money for Assistant Professor post in different management colleges , you will get posts. This will lead to degrading our higher education standards. So that most of the students migrate from Kerala to other states, and foreign countries. Under the Kerala higher education system, qualities are bypassed by money and political recommendation. This time , we can say " Kerala higher education is looking for sale."

I am working in gulf after Btech its not because I want to leave our country. It’s just because lack of opportunities and the salary packages offered is bare minimum with which a common man cannot afford his day to day need as inflation is high as of now. Since the rate at which price of items is raising the salary is crawling behind. Still I miss my home but it’s just because of the situations people are fleeing from our country. Government need to think in to it very keenly.

Now a days 80% students not capable of clearing entrance exams for getting to good institutions. All they dream about passing +2 amd move out to european cou try. We can see still capable students are clearing all india entrance exams and getting to good universities. Quality of eduction at school levels needs to be improved. I myself wrote entrance exams and cleared for studing in govt merit seat. They have to put effort in it.

ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഒരു മകനെ യുകെയിൽ അയച്ചു ഈ നാട് ഭാവിയിൽ സുരക്ഷിതമാണോ എന്നൊരു സംശയം ഉണ്ട് എനിക്ക്. ഒരു മകൾ എംഎസ്സി ബയോ കെമിസ്ട്രി പാസായി. ഇവിടെ ജോലിയില്ല ഉള്ള ജോലിക്ക് ശമ്പളമില്ല. ബംഗാളിക്ക് ആയിരമായിരം രൂപക്ക് മുകളിൽ ശമ്പളം. ഇപ്പോൾ മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Its not because of University or college. Education system is standard in Kerala. Kerala has no future for graduates thats the reason students are not studying here. Government should attract more investors who can provide jobs with high salary. High educated and experienced professional is getting 20,000 rs average. I think young generation deserves more standard of living. So make Kerala more developed then people will stay..
