They brainwashed a mentally ill Iyer boy to do the crime. They told him , C P was working aganist iyers. And they promised to shelter him and assured a safe passage to then Madras. But finally he was captured and he revealed everything to police. Then again Manorama people went hiding. Yes. Mammen mappila did a big fraud to cheat the workers and govt..So he was caught by CPs police. All these brutalities done by mammen mappila was a known secret. P R D S എന്താണ്.? മനസിൽ ആയില്ല. ഞങളുടെ നാട്ടിൽ പണ്ട് ഒരാള് മതം മാറി ചാക്കോ ആയി. ശെരി ആയ പേര് കുട്ടപ്പൻ. ഏതോ പാതിരി ആകാം, കുറെ സഹായിക്കാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു കുട്ടപ്പൻ്റെ വീട്ടുകാരെ കുറച്ചു milk powder , maida pody ഒക്കെ ആദ്യം കൊടുത്തു. കൊടുക്കാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ കാശു മുഴുവൻ കൊടുത്തില്ല. കുട്ടപ്പൻ ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒക്കെ പാതിരി ഓരോ excuse പറയും. മൂന്ന് മാസമോ മറ്റോ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ കുട്ടപ്പൻ പാതിരി കൊടുത്ത ചില ഡ്രസ്സ് and കുരിശു മാല പൊട്ടിച്ചു, രണ്ടും കൂടെ പാതിരിയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു കൊടുത്തു നല്ല പുഴുത്ത ചീത്തയും വിളിച്ചു അയാളുടെ ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ വന്നു , ഞാൻ തിരിച്ചു പോന്നു. കാരണം പറഞ്ഞത് ഭയങ്കര ശക്തി ഉണ്ടു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ പാതിരിയുടെ ദൈവത്തിനു കുറച്ചു കാശു പോലും ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അ കഴിവ് പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ദൈവത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ എന്തിനാണ് മതം മാറുന്നത് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു പോലും. പിന്നെ കുറെ നാളത്തേക്ക് നാട്ടുകാർ അയാളെ കുട്ടപ്പൻ ചാക്കോ എന്ന് കളിയാക്കി വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു. 🤣😀 ഇങ്ങനെ പല കഥകളും പല ഇടത്തും നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. മതം മാറി പോയവര് എല്ലാം ഹാപ്പി അല്ല. പോയതിനാൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു. കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന പണത്തിൻ്റെ നല്ല ഒരു വിഹിതം ദശാംശം എന്ന പേരിൽ പള്ളിക്ക് കൊടുക്കണം. പക്ഷേ ഇപ്പോഴും ദലിതർ or അധകൃതർ enna പേരിൽ തന്നെ അവർ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. അവർക്ക് വേണ്ട എല്ലാ helpum സർകാർ കൊടുക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാം തരും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു വിശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു ഇരുന്ന extra powerful god ഇത് വരെയും വന്നില്ല, ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തില്ല. ഇനി വരില്ല എന്ന് അവർക്ക് മനസിൽ ആയി. കുറെ പേര് തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നുണ്ട്. അവിടെ നാണം കേട്ട് നിൽക്കുന്നതിൽ ഭേദം സ്വന്തം കുടുംബത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നത് ആണ് എന്ന് പലർക്കും മനസിൽ ആയി.

The actual reasons for Syrian Christians development are: 1) Hard working nature 2) The superior mental makeup given by the realization that they are God’s children and are inferior to none. That gave them great confidence to fight out any adverse situations 3) The emphasis on education fueled by the missionaries and church organizations 4) The support of church fraternity and fellowship with church groups 5) Above all, the abundant grace and love of the living god.

I thought of myself as a good Indian. I got that type of education and awareness from my parents. They instilled good qualities like , patriotism to us , two siblings. So I am a proud Indian first. Thank you Lord for sending me to another country at my young age. When I was younger my only dream was about Kerala not even about another Indian state. The thought of leaving my native land was heartbreaking for me. But as I grew up slowly slowly I understood that this land doesn’t need me or deserve me. Even though I was good in my education I realized that getting a decent job will never be possible. I don’t have any quota, No sports quota, no political quota, no religious quota, no caste quota, or whatever quota, you name it. So I was compelled to choose nursing as my career even though I didn’t like it much then. So after finishing my graduation in nursing, I left my home land with a great pain in my heart. However, when I look back I am so thankful to my Lord for bringing me to the country where I live now. I live in a western country for more than 16 years. I have my religious freedom, I have gender equality, I get appreciation for the work I do, I feel like a human after coming to this country. I don’t need to call “sir” each and every “boss” in my workplace. I have my own identity. They never put me back because of the fact that I am a “foreigner”. I am so happy and proud that these all are possible because this country is built up on Christian principles. The Bible says that “all human are created equal”. Yes that is my great joy. Here there is no Brahmin, Nair, Christian, Muslim, Chandalan, Ezhava, etc. We are all humans. Today, I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for sending me here. Yes, I am His child and he is leading me and directing my footsteps!! May the Lord change Kerala and India!!

Syro Malabar catholics in terms of population percentage. The central travencore Syrians consisting of mar thoma Syrians and orthodox Syrians were the pioneers in migration to western and eastern countries. Even though the catholics had many institutions they lagged behind due to large numbers of new converts.

You are giving wrong information. Christians were pepper farmers in vadakkumkoor and thekkumkoor in the 16 th century for which there is evidence in history, which means even before 1600 's they were a farming community.There is no evidence to prove that the land on which they cultivated pepper belonged to nairs.what you said could be true for the christians of venad( south of chengannur) and chembakassery. Christians of vadakkumkoor and thekkumkoor( pala, thodupuzha, kanjirapally) were definetly land owners and farmers.

Are you sure about Syrian Christians getting land due to EMS’s land reforms? I think the Syrian Christians were land owners traditionally even before and lost their land due to land ceiling. At least in central Kerala, many syrian christian families I know faced it. At the same time, many syrian christian families involved in cash crops (rubber) could retain their land since cash crops were exempted from the reforms. Such as in Kottayam district.

തിരുവിതാം കൂറിൽ പ്രോട്ടേസ്റ്റന്റ് മിഷനറി മാരും കൊച്ചിമലബാറിൽ കർമലീത സന്യാസിമാരും ആരംഭിച്ച വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളുടെ ആനുകൂല്യം ആദ്യം ലഭിച്ചത് ക്രൈസ്തവ സമൂഹത്തിനായിരുന്നു. യൂറോപ്പിലേക്കുള്ള കുഡിയേടറ്റത്തിനു ഇതു സഹായകമായി. ഗൾഫിന്റെ ആനുകൂല്യവും ഉയർന്ന ഉദ്യോഗവും ഇതു മൂലം കരസ്തമായി. മലബാറിലേക്കുള്ള കുട്ടിയെറ്റവും കേരളകോൺഗ്രസ്സും മറ്റുഘടകംനലാണ്. ഉയർന്ന സാ മുദായികബോധം ഇതിനെല്ലാം അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു

Your observation that Syrian christians were benefited from land reforms is not correct. They were land owners even before and some of them lost heavily due to the reforms of E M S. But they survived as the so called reforms did not affect the rubber and cash crop plantations owned by Syrian christians. The actual beneficiaries of the land reforms are the Ezhava community in Palghat and elsewher who were cultivating land owned by powerful Nair community.

Education is the number one reason. Plus the principles of Christ gives individual freedom and personal worth regardless of his colour or caste that enables a person to work hard to support his family, church and community. Christian Nations are biggest charity givers in the world. Christ taught to love your neighbor, regardless of others religion. So they started schools, hospitals, old age homes etc..that benefited Christians as well as others.

കേരളത്തിലെ മാർത്തോമാ നസ്രാണികൾക്ക് ലോക ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ സമൂഹത്തിലെ മറ്റു ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ നിന്നും മാറ്റി നിർത്തുന്ന പ്രിത്യേകത എന്തു?.കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പ്രേത്യേകത എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് അവർ പ്രാർഥനകൾക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സുറിയാനി ഭാഷ തന്നെ ആണു. യേശു ക്രിസ്തു സംസാരിക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന ആരാമായ ഭാഷയുടെ വകബേധം ആണു സുറിയാനി ഭാഷ.ലോകത്തു പ്രധാനമായും മൂന്നു രീതിയിൽ ഉള്ള പുരാതനമായി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ പാരമ്പര്യം ഉണ്ട്. ലത്തീൻ പാരമ്പര്യം, ഗ്രീക്ക് പാരമ്പര്യം, സുറിയാനി പാരമ്പര്യം. ഇതിൽ സുറിയാനി പാരമ്പര്യം ഒരു കാലത്തു middle east ഇൽ വ്യാപകമായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ ഭാഷ ആയിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് സിറിയയിലും കേരളത്തിലും മാത്രമാണ് ഇത്തരം ക്രിസ്ത്യനികൾ ഉള്ളത്.നാമ മാത്രമായി ഇറാഖ്, തുർക്കി, lebanon തുടങ്ങിയ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികൾ പല സഭകൾക്ക് കീഴിൽ ആണു നിൽക്കുന്നത്. സിറോ മലബാർ (Rc), ഓർത്തഡോക്സ്, യാക്കോബായ, കൽദായ സഭ, മാർത്തോമാ തുടങ്ങിയവ ആണു അതിൽ പ്രധാനം. ആദ്യകാലത്തു 15 ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ട് വരെ കേരളത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത് കൽദായ സുറിയാനി അല്ലെങ്കിൽ കിഴക്കൻ സുറിയാനി ആയിരുന്നു. കാരണം ഇറാഖ് കേന്ദ്രികരിച്ചുള്ള കൽദായ സുറിയാനി സഭയും ആയി ആയിരുന്നു കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികൾക്ക് കോൺടാക്ട്. Ad 52 ഇൽ തോമാ സ്ലീഹാ ആണു കേരളത്തിൽ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ സഭ സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് എന്നാണ് കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യനികൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതിനെ സാധുകരിക്കുന്ന തെളിവുകൾ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും.3 ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലൊ,5 ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിനുള്ളിലൊ കേരളത്തിൽ വ്യാപാരത്തിനു എത്തിയ middle eastern ക്രിസ്ത്യനികൾ വഴി കേരളത്തിൽ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ മതം എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അകാലത്തു കേരളത്തിൽ കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂരിലും മറ്റും വ്യാപാര ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കും മറ്റും എത്തിയ ഇറാഖ് സിറിയ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും എത്തിയ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ കച്ചവടക്കാരിൽ നിന്നും ഒക്കെ ആണു ഇറാഖ് കേന്ദ്രികൃതമായ കൽദായ സുറിയാനി സഭയുമായി ബന്ധം ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് 15 ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടോടെ പോർച്ചുഗീസ് കാരുടെ വരവോടെ റോം അസ്ഥാനമായ കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയുടെ കീഴിലേക്ക് കേരളത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. Rome അസ്ഥാനമായ കത്തോലിക്ക സഭ ലത്തീൻ പാരമ്പര്യം ഉള്ള സഭ ആയിരുന്നു. അതിലെ jesuit വൈദീകർ പതിയെ അവരുടെ രീതികൾ സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികളിൽ അടിച്ചു ഏല്പിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അങ്ങനെ 1599 ജൂൺ മാസത്തിൽ കൂടിയ ചരിത്ര പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഉദയം പേരൂർ സുന്നഹാദോസിൽ വച്ചു കേരളത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികളുടെ പല രേഖകളും താളിയോല ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളും കത്തിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു.ഇതിൽ പ്രകോപിതരായ സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികൾ സിറിയയിൽ ഉള്ള ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുടെ പത്രിയർക്കീസുമായി ബന്ധം സ്റ്റാപിക്കുന്നു.അങ്ങനെ സിറിയൻ സഭ അയച്ച അഹന്തുള്ള എന്ന bishop നെ ചെന്നൈയിൽ തുറമുഖത്തുനിന്നും പോർച്ചുഗീസ് തടവിൽ ആക്കുകയും പിന്നീട് ഗോവയിൽ വച്ചു കൊലപെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. (പോർച്ചുഗീസുകാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കൊലപെടുത്തിയില്ല മറിച്ചു യൂറോപ്പിലേക്ക് നാട് കടത്തിയതാണ് എന്നും പറയുന്നു ). ഈ സംഭവം അറിഞ്ഞ കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികൾ മട്ടാഞ്ചേരിയിൽ ഒത്തുചേർന്നു. അവർ ഒരു വലിയ കൂരിശിൽ വടങ്ങൾ വലിച്ചു കെട്ടി അതിൽ തൊട്ട് പ്രതിജ്ഞ എടുത്തു. ഞങ്ങളോ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതി പരമ്പരകളോ കത്തോലിക്കാ വിശ്വാസത്തെയോ അംഗീകരിക്കില്ല എന്ന്.ഇത്‌ അറിഞ്ഞ പോപ്പ് അവരെ അനുനയിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമങ്ങൾ നടത്തി.അതിനു ഒടുവിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സുറിയാനി ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന കൽദായ സുറിയാനി പ്രാർത്ഥനകളും കുർബാനകളും മറ്റും ചെറിയ വ്യത്യാസങ്ങളോടെ അവർക്കു ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ അനുമതി കൊടുത്തുഅങ്ങനെ അണ് കേരളത്തിൽ ഇന്ന് കാണുന്ന സിറോ മലബാർ കത്തോലിക്ക സഭ (Rc)ഉണ്ടാവുന്നത് . എന്നാൽ എല്ലാവരും ഇത്‌ അംഗീകരിക്കാൻ തയാറായില്ല. അംഗീകരിക്കാതിരുന്നവർ സിറിയയിൽ ഉള്ള ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് കാരുമായി ബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ ഇന്ന് കാണുന്ന യാക്കോബായ /ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് സഭ ഉണ്ടായി.syrian ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് സഭയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധത്തോടെ ആണു കേരളത്തിൽ Antioch യൻ സുറിയാനി അഥവാ west syriac വരുന്നത്.പിന്നീട് ഇതിൽ നിന്നും പിരിഞ്ഞു പോയതാണ് മാർത്തോമാ സഭ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതും ഇതേ west syriac ആണു. കേരളത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ വിശ്വാസികളുടെ ദൈനം ദിന ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഉള്ള വാക്കുകളായ മാലാഖ, കുർബാന, മാമോദിസ, പെസഹാ തുടങ്ങിയവ ഒക്കെ സുറിയാനി വാക്കുകൾ ആണു.

EMS ന് ഉന്നം തെറ്റി Christ’s mission was based on preaching and healing. Hence Christian’s follow the same establishing educational institutions and hospitals. It was initiated with good intentions but now commercialised. Now agriculture is not viable commercially, opportunities within state are limited and moreover younger generations wants better life style. Hence they move out of state selling out land properties. The cream is out and state is left with sediments. Influx of illiterate migrant workers and extreme religious elements made this land a backward state. May regain past glory after few generations.. like tamilnad CP did against Christian’s then. Communist do the same now. Let’s wait and see

In Syrian Christians most educated and migrated community are csi madhyakerala diocese and marthoma Syrian community. You can see them in esp tiruvalla pathanamthitta region. Most of them had education three four generations back and migrated early esp to us and uk.

Land reforms affected land owners from all communities and not as explained .Request please re-examine facts.. The lands in large parcels owned by big business houses are still with them for whatever reasons. Please re-search deeper for the accurate facts . The Kerala 'advantage" is not going to last as other Indian states are making rapid progress on economic front.Leadership both political and religious are seemingly not having a clear vision,direction ,imagination or a common agenda left in them any more to advance the real prosperity here. Concern is they are increasingly turning self centered,limited and resist progress to protect there turf. So we move in search of Our CHEESE elsewhere is a virtual necessity. Talent will flow to areas where it is respected,nurtured and rewarded. Encourage them ,facilitate them , prepare them , help them . For they will lead progress here for the next generation just like how we progressed since the oil shock of 1970s. Afterall ,the highly educated Indian yongesters got to serve the rest of the world for next 50 plus years.

I am a proud Christian! Due to Christian missionaries, Kerala has high rate of education. Government also helped bring education but credit goes to Christian missionaries mainly. We concentrate on education, hard work, tolerance with others and belief in God. That is why Christians and Europeans have quality life. We dont encourage terrorism. Even though Westerners mostly are etheist nowadays, they still embrace the humanity taught by Jesus. Otherwise they couldn't accept the refugees from other countries. We are not selfish. Proud to be a Christian and love my Jesus so much.
