I don't know why i paused your interview with Jisma and Vimal in between and came to see this interview again. Maybe that dull background is putting me off or recent guests are not interesting to me.
Personally speaking this woman refined my thoughts and views and eased my life and helped to accept myself to a greater extent over the years. I never met her in person. But her words and doings did wonders. She is definitely a unsung socio/cultural reformer of Kerala. Thankyou Rima for everything you did, doing and will do ahead. Lots ❤❤❤❤
I dont think the 'fish fry' scenario still exist in the society. It might have been common back in the days.. like 35+ years and above.. but not now i guess.. thats why many young girls couldn't associate the issue with their life. And you can't generalise an issue if its not happening in majority.

My mother was sad and she tried to express her love and care towards him. He said please stop this drama. He don't want any add ups... He is 9 yrs younger than me.

Loved Rima's look. But did she sound fake..? Or was she just trying to sound polite and sweet? I felt that she was buffering for words. I actually like the way she normally speaks. But here, I felt that she was consciously trying to break her bold and beautiful image.
Even if she wants to sound sweet and polite, how is that a problem so long as she gets her points across? Why should they always come across the same certain way every time to be thought of as "real" ? We take on so many faces throughout our days to effectively convey messages to different categories of people in our regular "real" lives. Then why can't she do the same to get her messages across. It makes no sense to see her complaining about how veteran female actors like Urvasi and Shobana aren't getting any roles like Mammotty or Mohanlal. Rima and Ashiq have had their production company for around 10 years now, yet they haven't produced even a single movie where the main protagonist is a female. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that all the movies they make/produce ought to be female centric nor that gender equality in the film industry is their responsibility alone. But produce at least one female centric film? That's a bare minimum to ask for! If they themselves don't walk their talk, then why do they expect others to? Worse, why do they feel so entitled to publicly condemn others? Do your part and then raise your voice! As Ghandi said, 'be the change you wish to see in the world.' With regards to pay parity, was Aishwarya and Tovino paid the same in Mayanadhi? Aishwarya was a new comer hence she can't be paid the same, fair enough. But did Aishwarya receive any share of the box office collections of the film? It is as clear as day that once the film was released many people were drawn to the theatres by her performance even though it was her debut. Forget that, too, was Tovino and Anna Ben paid the same in Naaradan? Anna is certainly one of the well established actors in Kerala with 2 State awards to herself (while Tovino has none). If you don't practice what you preach, then it's better to just shut up.

Fish fry story is something that I have heard even from my grandmother n mother. .they all grew up, married n lived in joint family. .ammama used to say that she always had fish head or tail part of fish more as the other fleshy parts were given to men of household. Women then but never bothered abt it, that was the strangest part but it was how our society was then moulded. .I have asked my mom in law why she didn't eat curry much and she casually said that growing up, ladies especially elder girls of family mostly ate after everyone else had food and most days curry would be over, so they ate rice without curry. Nowadays, its neutral family and women might not be experiencing all this. . So smae way, Rima has spoken here abt what our mothers and grandmothers have gone thru. Like she said, we can't know the situation of what people might be going thru so it's better we don't explain more to the ones who can't understand the main reason of this rather they are only finding fault in the word "fish fry"! Apart from all this, I loved rima's attire n jewellery. .truly class! Waiting for second part.
