I felt sorry for kalpanas character. Her husband seemed like a waste creating so much of loan. And now he left her to enjoy in goa. It was hilarious but her pain. My god. They handled this tough theme with such humor😁
A very subtle change that I think was important was the dynamics between Divya and her mom’s conversation, quite often we see such a scene in our families: when her mother kept sarcastically nagging at her, the first few times, Divya kept answering in such a tone, and the way, her mom immediately sensed and seriously took a moment to hear her daughter out, I thought that was such a beautiful nuance. There are times when our parents will nag at us, but the moment they sense our emotions, they would hear us out carefully, and stand by us
More like she realised there's more to life than just life looking after her husband. And the so called "modern life" is just women living however she wants.
@@KayaaaaDeyea living how ever she wants without taking any responsibilities. Typical women. Accountabilites and responsibilities are kryptonyte for women, and she just gave burden to her son
There is a difference between being free and being selfish.kalapan's character is controlling and manipulating her son and father to acheive her wishes.but her wishes are not something she wants.she wants to do everything thats showing on tv and her show offs of relatives.being trapped inside a house, realising the value of freedom is different from this.making her son a sofware engineer for nattukar.making her husband go with her evnif he doesn't want to.extravaganza of son's money on unwanted things shown on tv.following fake babas advices.having party at sons flat when he comes from office tired.selling house aganist son's wish. this is freedom?one's freedom shouldn't be interfereing with others freedom. Her husband and sons are old school guys, simple.but they are not forcing her to stay simple like she constantly naggs them to be modern or emotionally suffocates them to live upto nattukar's expectations.her husband also leaves her leaving all money and house, plantasions for her to free from her control.leaving her free as well as him. But the son on the other hand accepts mothers changes and understands her.he is ready to adjust and fullfills all her wishes.later he watches it all with a smile.thats real freedom:"live and let live".one who seeks freedom should be responsible how to utilise her freedom.and kalpans character is lacking that.
