Munroe island is one of the most important tourist place in kollam district& back water tourism is the main attraction of these place like boating in ashtamudi lake and kallada river.. The location is a lake island in ashtamudi lake so the area is rich in lake fish like pearl spot, prawns, crabs etc.. Sunset view is another attraction of Munroe island..if you want to visit there, early morning and evening is better time..
