That's the problem with you athiests. You refer to violence in the Old Testament alone and say athiests are the most peaceful self loving, self adoring crap of the world. The Bible should be read with Old and New Testaments together. While reading the Old Testament, you have to read it from their point of view. The ancient Israelite are warlike people. The Old Testament was written poetically to resonate with the people. Many violent metaphors were used to describe God's true love for His people and how He fights their enemies. In ancient times, it was necessary to convey that God is very powerful and loving. How do you do that to these warlike people. You write that He destroyed their enemies. That's how it makes sense to them. There were many animal and human sacrifices in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, Jesus says he didn't come to abolish any laws in the Old Testament but to fulfill them by sacrificing himself for the sins of the world. You see a god of "infinite" mercy rather than of wrath here. I haven't read much about other religions. So can't comment on that. Arun Kumar, you better read the scripture before you make a comment publicly.
