This not fully correct. Today unfortunately the crowd strike security suit of Windows (recent update) was the problem creator. Maybe prod testing gap. However it doesn’t means that open software OS like Linux or Unix may not undergo any such issues in future. And Indian railway using open Software save us today but can’t guarantee that all the times. Any OS can get these type of hard failures sometimes. Very unlucky that this time its windows ( crowd strike)
This issue will happen only in the computers which installed crowdstrike endpoint management. Indian railway not using that, so they are not impacted. Please don’t come with new findings.

Don't spread fake news without analysing the issues, Those using the CrowdStrike EDR/XDR product (installed systems) are the ones facing that issue, so don't blame Microsoft.Not everyone facing this issues
Every windows machine(those using licensed) has falcon crowdstrike already installed. If it failed Microsoft is responsible. Also Crowdstrike updates are pushed along with windows live updates which is done via Microsoft only. Though it’s a third party, Microsoft has bundled it with their OS so they are liable to answer to it.
As I believe Indian railway is not using Windows operating system. In 90s they were using Unix OS, as I heard while under going computer training in IAF. Now they may be using graphical versions of unix for networking.

Railways are/were using mainframe so it’s not impacted. Again technology came from big giants which is not based out in India. Also interruptions can happen to any companies. No one is bug free. Just for news don’t create stories
