Thalapakkatti Chicken Biriyani /Dindigul Style Biriyani
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 kg
Jeerakasala / Kaima rice - 1 kg ( 5 cup )
For grinding:
Shallots - 150g
Green chilli - 8
Garlic - 100g
Ginger - 100g
For Thalapakkatti Biriyani masala:
Star anise - 2
Cardamom - 10
Cloves - 10
Cinnamon - 3 ( 2 " size )
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Nutmeg - a small piece ( 1/4 " size )
Black stone flower - 3 piece
Cashew nut - 10
For preparation :
Refined oil - 200 ml
Mint leaves - a handful
Coriander leaves - a handful
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Curd - 150 ml
Salt
Hot water - 6 1/4 cup
Lime juice - 1 ( big size )
Ghee - 2 tbsp
