කල්පිටිය අර්ධද්වීපය අපි කවුරුත් දන්නා සන්චාරක පාරාදීසයක්. බොහෝ දෙනෙක් කල්පිටිය නගරය එහි උතුරු කෙලවර සේ සිතනව.නමුත්, කල්පිටියේ සිට තවත් කිලෝමීටර 20 ක් උතුරට යා හැකි බව බොහෝ දෙනෙක් නොදන්නා කාරනයක්.
මීට වසරකට පෙර බත්තලන්ගුන්ඩුවට ගිය ගමනකදී අහම්බෙන් මෙන් පැමිනි මෙම අදහස කෙසේ ප්‍රයෝගික වේදැයි නොදැන සිටිය නමුත් කෙසේහෝ කල්පිටියේ සැබෑ උතුරු කොනේ කදවුරු බැදීමට අදිටනක් තිබුනා. දන්නා කිසිවෙකු කලින් නොගිය ගමනක් බැවින් තරමක් අභියෝගාතමක උනත් කිසිවකටත් සම කල නොහැකි කල්පිටිය අර්ධද්වීපයේ සුන්දරතවය මෙම ගමනේ උත්තේජනය උනා.
මේ "The Traveler's Lounge" කල්පිටියේ සැබෑ උතුරු කොන සොයා ගිය ගමනයි.
Kalpitiya Peninsula is one of the well-known tourist destinations in Sri Lanka. Most of us consider Kalpitiya town as the north edge of it. However, there is a 20 Km trail to far north Kalptiya through its arm and only a few knows.
This idea accidentally came to our mind while we were taking a boat ride to Baththalangunduwa island one year ago. We were not sure how it would be practical but had the motivation of camp at the true north edge of Kalpitiya. It was a bit challenging as the trial was not taken by anyone known to us But the true beauty of the peninsula stimulated us.
This is the story of “ The Traveler's Lounge “ team exploring the true north of Kalpitiya.
