hi aunty thank u so much for the recipy on how to make the kimchi in kind of a srilankan way... I have lived in korea for sometime and for me kimchi is not spicy.it looks spicy because the chillie they use looks very red ( korean kochu karu) first time i ate this i thought they put vinegar to it since it has this vinegar pickle taste like our traditional pickles but later found out that the taste is generated by the fermentation of sugar they add.. they have huge black earthen pots in heir houses to make kimchi to help for the fermentation, specially they put them outside in winter :) in my view maangchi's channel makes a very good traditional korean recipes in youtube...
