Mathematics is no rocket science, simple. It is only as complex as any other subject for higher studies. Please do not be phychologically discouraged by mathematics due to the phobia of the topic. I teach mathematics and mathematical modeling for post graduate and Doctoral candidates and most of them are quite at ease with advanced mathematical concepts as they learn. Be @ ease students , and you will feel the strength of mathematics once you understand the basics.

Good question. There are mathematical structures which can have any number of primes. In fact there's a class of structures called DVR. They have only 1 prime. In this talk I'm only talking about integers.

@@kalhansb Well, that's a philosophical question. But, when you study these structures, its hardly making things up. These structures arise naturally in my research area. It's not obvious why they are natural like integers. For that you have to look into details.
Hi. I want to know whether according to your point of view can a molecular biologist and biochemist and a physics major have a bright future? I am asking this coz I am someone who dreamt of becoming a doctor but now I have strongly felt my life will be much blissful if I choose this path.
How about somebody does separate maths programmes? I mean we can find lots of individual maths programs. For instance, if you want to study topology, you can find online courses which conducting by foreign universities. Any chance to move forward with this type of programmes? What is your idea?
Some have completely misread my comment. I never said maths is not important. Gist of my argument is that the best A level maths students go for engineering in this country, which may be unique to us. Yet it is a fact, so by being able to associate those brilliant students, one will benefit immensely is improving own intellectual capacity. This is why some leading universities which are highly competitive remain as grate learning centers.
I understand your arguement sir. But my question is what has the brightest mind engineers to our nation as a whole??? Why are we lagging behind all the countries in both economic and technological development??? (As per ur theory those who get good results in AL are the most intelligent people on earth)
@@abishekrathnakumar4089 anyone cannot say that those who get the best result for AL are inteligent , it is not part of inteligent , it is the how you face exam paper successfully . that why in sri lanka most of engineers are fails in practical level. inteligent means not exam , how you face to problem successfully .
